| Posted: | | | | Can I assume we just follow the old practice of setting the title to "Screeners Please Delete" (justification as normal in the submission) to get rid of the swathe of incorrect profiles that have just been added in the merge of 2.x/3.0 databases?
Would it be useful for Ken to add a dedicated "Delete this profile" button to help the screeners?

Care to elaborate a bit? I hope the initital question is clear as it's basically asking "Do we get illegal/bad profiles removed from the database in the same way we did at IVS?" My second para meant I wondered whether it would be better to have a dedicated method to do this rather than using the normal contribution system as this may make life easier for the screeners if they want to 'fast track' (or put on back burner) removals depending on priorities, and also make it more obvious for users who don;t frequent the forums that much and don't know the etiquette. My third was about the Invelos database previously being incomplete at present but generally accurate. Merging with the IVS one has probably re-added a lot of illegal profiles which now have to be found and removed. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

(<sigh> I hoped with the formation of the new database all this was behind us) At least I can tell you the old system still works. I have marked several profiles for deletion last week and after two days they were gone. | | | Michael |
