I would be nice if each user had his own RSS feed that kept track of, say, the last 10 or 20 titles added to his collection. A nice feed to give out to friends (or wives!) who want to keep track of new additions to your collection.

Of course it could be made as a premium addition only

I don't like polls with only one option, not even in the feature request forum.

On the matter of RSS, I'd like to see RSS feeds for the forum, the rule changes, profiles ready for voting, profile updates, and maybe even your proposed latest collection additions.

I'd like RSS too, especially for Rules change and New profiles up for vote.

The newly added RSS is interesting too, but most of my friends have no idea what RSS is or how to use it, and don't even want to bother knowing!

I'd like RSS Feeds for new Fiorum posts, Rules updates and new titles added to the database (with a sub feed of Future releases preferably) but I personally would never use a feed that told my wife how many DVDs I'd been buying

Maybe you should add NO as a choice in the poll? Since this won't be accurate without it. Just a suggestion.
By the way, I voted YES

The poll was mostly a joke. I don't think we need to vote on everything around here. If people don't feel the need for RSS feeds they are not forced to use it.

I'd love an RSS feed for my public Online Collections. Ideally, the feed would be the list, and each item would link to a generic detail page like those displayed in my online collection. I could use this to easily access my collection from any RSS reader/device and give this to friends so as I add movies, they'd see what I have.

I would love this feature !!!! In fact, I am a new user (paying user  ) and was thinking that this would be a great feature. I was going to suggest it, but first, searched the forum ... Imagine my surprise !!!

This would be a great way to let family and friends know what was just added to my collection.

So, count me in.

Yep! And it now supports RSS feed for newly added title too!

http://list.dvdalistic.com/rss.php

Well ok, it's more a "plugin", you have to download it separately.

Ross, as a small aside - I've been trying to get the text to appear at the top/bottom of the banner - but I just keep getting the colour without the text. Can you let me know what your settins in the localsiteconfig are so I can copy them?

cheers
Paul
