I successfully imported my 2.5 database into the new DVDProfiler 3.02 program.  I'd like to add some text to the Location field under 'Personalize', but quite a few of the dvds have the Location and Slot fields protected (I can't get the cursor there nor am I able to type there).
This happens with about 30% of my collection of about 850.

Any thoughts about what I should do?  Thanks.....    Tom

Check that these profiles have disc information in them. Quite a few don't and you can't enter a location or slot if there's no disc in the profile.

You should have had the same issue under 2.4/2.5.

I used to only have DVDProfiler on my Dell Laptop which has a metal housing on the DVD drive "laser" and I lost more than a couple of DVD's because they got scratched from it.

For this reason, when I ran across the situation you described, I would just create a "bogus" disc with no DiscID so that I could enter it's information into my Slot loader.

If you have the ability (meaning a good DVD drive on your computer), please submit the correct disc ID though as it will only help the software become better for all to use

t001z,

Thanks for your prompt reply.  I don't know what you mean by a "bogus" disc with no DiscID..".
Can you clarify?
I did try deleting the profile of a problem disc, for example,"My Life In Pink (Ma Vie En Rose)".
Then I added it again and I still can't get to the "Location" or "Slot" fields under Personalize.

I'm running Vista with UAC turned off.  What's funny is that most of my collection will allow me
to enter data in the Location and Slot fields.

Can you try adding the above movie (by title) and see if you can get into these fields?  If so, let
me know what OS you're using.  Thanks again for your help.  tk

Edit the profile, under discs, add a disc "main feature". Once the profile has a disk assigned to it you can edit the location and slot fields.

Forgot to say Save it after adding the disk, otherwise you still can't edit the location.
