| | Posted: | | | | I have all my scanned dvd covers stored in a hard disk. In this hard disk I hAve a directory called 'DVD Covers' and under this directory I have directories '0-9', 'A', 'B', 'C',..., 'X', 'Y', 'Z'. In these directories I make a separate directory for each and every movie and put my covers in it.
That is, the covers for the movie 'Con-Air' are stored in \DVD Covers\C\Con-Air.
How can I make DVD Profiler to not store its own covers but to point to the covers I already have stored?

| | Posted: | | | | I may be wrong but I don't believe you can as the image files are specially numbered to connect them to the profile and I've also never seen an option to customise where the images are stored.
I don't know if you could trick the program by replacing it's images with shortcuts to yours, but it would take a lot of setting up.
You can of course copy and paste your own images into Profiler and lock them so they don't get overridden by the online versions, but that would create a duplicate of the image - I'm not sure if you'd mind that or not. |

I would like to be able to point to the stored covers without having to duplicate them in DVD Profiler That should be put into a feature request and posted in the appropriate forum. Maybe Ken will consider such a modification. | | | John

Thanks. Thanks for your help, but this does not solve the problem. By doing this DVD profiler does not point to the saved cover; instead, it saves a copy of the previously saved scanned cover into its Images directory |
