E.g. I recently received my free Casino Royale BluRay in the mail after registering my PS3. This disk doesn't carry a UPC and is in fact different than the BDs you can buy (different combination of audio tracks). So I can't add it to the database.
I don't see why we shouldn't be able to maintain profiles for disks that are not for sale, unless this is to prevent submissions of pirate copies. But even that is not foolproof as I'm sure there are pirated DVDs out there that have a UPC. |
