| Posted: | | | | How do you tell if a DVD is dual layer if there is nothing on the cover or DVD to indicate what it is. Also can you tell me is what DVD9 & DVD18 means. I think DVD9 is dual layer but not sure about DVD18 |

| Posted: | | | | A DVD9 is a dual layer disc, a DVD18 is a 2-sided dual-layer disc (imagine 2 DVD9s glued back to back). I usually tell if a disc is dual layered by putting it in my PC and checking the size - any more than 4.35 GB is dual layered. |

OTOH there is a theoretical possibility that a DVD with less than 4,37GB is duallayer nonetheless. But yet I have not seen that one. Quote: Also can you tell me is what DVD9 & DVD18 means.
