Unless I missed reading about it or I am mistaken (that happens a lot) there is still a differece between boxset as a case type and a boxset as containing several mvoies.

There is also a chuck of data that shouldn't be added to a parent profile of a box set such as cast, disc IDs, etc.

I think something like a checkbox on the General Info tab of a profile (maybe in release info) that says boxset (referring to multiple movies).  When it is checked it would ever prevent data that shouldn't be contributed from being uploaded to the database (that way if you want it locally you still can) or when you check it it disables those fields and/or tabs you shouldn't use.
