I have a rather large collection, which DVDProfiler has been managing for quite some time. The collection is over 5,000 records.

I am using version 3.02. Frequently, when adding or deleting a Profile Record, the program displays the running bar at the bottom of the screen, and when this bar "nears the end" (no more space left), the dvdpro displays a message box containing the words "Access Error in module dvdpro.exe" with some large integer values. Responding with the OK button just causes another message box to be displayed; Responding with the CANCEL button just causes another message box to be displayed; Responding with clicking the Close Window X in the upper right hand corner just causes another message box to be displayed. Only by accessing Task Manager and Killing DVD Profiler, can I escape these message boxes.

This problem happened in previous versions of DVD Profiler, but were not as pronounced ... once or twice every other week.

I've repaired and repaired the data files. I've split the large database into databases with A Titles, B Titles, etc. ... all to no avail.

I have a series of several hundred Profiles I want to delete ... at this rate it will take several weeks to accomplish this. I take backups on the half-hour, and keep several hours worth on file ... just in case.

Without actual replication of the error, it might prove difficult to track down this elusive error. As long as it doesn't damage my database ... all is OK ... I can live with it.

Any ideas as to what's causing the error, and how to correct it long term?

Have you tried flagging all the profiles you want to delete and then removing them with a single command?
