When entering cast or crew it would be very nice if when you typed in 'Penelope' that names that matched 'Penélope' would also list out. This will help to keep the common names list smaller IMHO.

I agree.  It's tough to find a name with international characters you can't enter directly from the keyboard.

If this feature is possible could you have it treat - and spaces as the same since sometimes you will have names like "Ahmed El-Shenawi" or Ahmed El Shenawi"

Recent movie example of the same problem.  Deja Vu with Denzel Washington comes in as Déjà Vu, which while technically correct makes it exceptionally difficult to find adding by title.

Another suggestion someone made in another forum was to have it ignore commas and periods for names like Robert Downey, Jr.
