| Posted: | | | | I would like the sort order of the subtitles in the Subtitles-panel to be the same as the order in the Edit Profile window, namely the alphabetical (translated) order. | | | Martin Zuidervliet

| Posted: | | | | Now that we're at it, I would like Commentary, Trivia and Other to be "taken out" of the alphabetical listing and listed for them self at the end (last in the list) - and in that order!

| Posted: | | | | Why not have the subtitles listed in the order they appear on the cover (back)? We do this already for the audiotracks.
I know the subtitle checkboxes are real handy, but how about a solution with having a "1" in the first box checked "2" in the second and so forth? Obviously you should be able to change the order if so needed. |

the problem with having an order which has to be chosen instead of an alphabeitical order is that when you get choice you get flip -flopping of profiles as people just change the order as their preference. If you have a fixed order then this won't keep changing - also if you keep the order the same as the program you can see easily what is missing etc.. | | | Paul |

Couldn't the "preference" issue be handled in the contribution rules? The coverscan makes it pretty obvious which order is "correct" IMHO. |

The coverscan makes it pretty obvious which order is "correct" IMHO. but then people would look at the physical order of the subtitles on the disc (like with audio tracks) and put them in that order - and then someone else would come along and decide the order on the case was correct etc etc. | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |

I just thought that since we use the covers as a reference for many of the other informations - subtitles could also be one of them |

I just thought that since we use the covers as a reference for many of the other informations - subtitles could also be one of them why introduce complexity.. all you want is a list of subtitles. And if the list is ina different order with each dvd then how can you check if your required Subtitle is present? | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Normally there aren't that many subtitles present and I would anyway check the back of the box when editing the profile. I know that there is a difference in editing and viewing, but i bet you all tick off the subtitles in listed order and not alphabetically |

And I would only add the subtitles once but could view many times. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | I would definitely prefer alfabetical for the languages, and the exceptions (commentary) at the end. That takes away arbitariness, can be used for languages on the disc that are not on the cover, and can be itself translated in any language. | | | Hans |
