| | Posted: | | | | I would say so. There is the danger that someone who would do a profile properly from scratch might not do so if there's already some stuff there, but if such people aren't bothered about the quality of the profile, they don't lose out by it being incomplete. |

The only proviso I would say is with regards to cover images off the web - not if they include any form of site copyright info, they are clearly prohibited by the rules for legal reasons. | | | Andy

Many users will vote yes, arguing that SOME DATA IS BETTER THAN NO DATA, which is not true, if the data does NOT follow Rules then No data is preferable to some data that is not sourced, and exposes the Online to potential issues from competitors.

Agreed. FWIW the only time I submit cast/crew data fro pre-release items is if the release is out already somewhere else and I can get them by copying them from the entry already in the database... and even then I often check the contribution notes to see if anyone specifically said they were from the cast list on the DVD and compare to the IMDb for any obvious signs of copying. | | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
