How to setup firewall so i can connect

cant find any info about configuring firewall to allow application to connect.
i have a 2wire router which i do not know how to configure to allow application to connect, could anybody let me know how to do this, wha ports are used etc

Not sure. My router did not require special settings and my ZoneAlarm firewall simply asked me if I wanted to allow DVD Profiler access to the internet...


Have you tried the Alternate Connection Method in the Options (Online section)?

I would highly recommend that you get on the 'net and see if the manufacturer of that router has a website, and if so, go there and download the manual for that unit.

It isn't particularly hard to configure a router per se, but if you don't have the right information on how to access the thing you'll never get it.

Strange since I too have a 2wire router and had no trouble connecting (for anything really). I've run DVD Profiler on two computers now with no problems... What Internet service are you using? Qwest?

Anyway, I'd look for the online manual. Maybe yours is set at a higher security level?
