Hi everyone!

I just noticed I can't download my online collection, it seems to me that it doesn't even upload with version 3.0.1

I can't see the progress bar when it does the "Uploading and processing list..." but it gives no error at all, just ends up as if it has been done correctly.

When I try to download my online collection it shows 0 tittles online.

(Please, excuse my english).

Your collection is online as I can view it through the collection view.  Users running windows 2000 don't see the progress bar since 2000 doesn't support marquee bars, but the upload should function as normal.

Hello Ken, thanks a lot for the answer.

I must say I'm using Windows XP Pro. and I've just upgraded to build 1124 of DVD Profiler.

It doesn't work to me. I can see my collection online, but If I try the Collection Transfer I only can Upload my collection (I've tried on 3 diferent pc's).

Ok, let's upload... It's says that my local collection has 831 owned. But my online one has 0!

After uploading nothing changes. I still can't download and if I try to upload again it still tells me that I have 0 profiles online.

So something must be wrong with my account...

(excuse my english)

Just wondering... why do you want to download your collection?

It's a last ditch emergency recovery method (though I understand if you want to check this would work if the worst happened!)

Usually I work on my collection while I'm at dinner time (on my job). I spend more than 12 hour on my workplace so I get some time to "play" with my profiler.

But when I get home, I have to download my collection from the site to keep me updated about the changes I did.  Then I do some more changes and adictions and I upload the collection again to download it when I get to my work

I know it can sound weird (mostly because I have some dificulties to explain all that in english) but I hope you'll get the point.

why not use backup function in dvd profiler with a memory stick?
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

That's what I'm doing till the "change" (using a memory stick).

But it's a lot better to being able to upload and download the collection, faster and you don't need the memory stick. Today for example, I've forgot my memory stick at home so I'll not be able to bring my collection home for this weekend.

It's not the end of the world, the programs is wonderful and I appreciate all the hard work to bring this Profiler 3 to all of us, but something must happen with my account because I've found no more references to this at the forum.

Backup is the way to do it, not download... download can lose data and (as I said) is an emergency feature which people use instead of the correct, backup, route much too often (IMO).

Personally I backup without images then just email the file from work to home/home to work each day before I log off.

Edit

Misread your original post, but having re-read it when I first clicked on your 3 online collection it showed as empty. Clicking on it again it now shows a collection list.

Well, the same here with me.
Cann't download. Upload works, only I see a dvd with nr 0 and that is not in my list.
Can that be the problem?
How can I erase the on-line collection so nr 0 disappears and  (i hope) i can download again?

Do a database repair then Make a complete backup of your collection and save it.  Upload an empty collection and this will hopefully clear out your online collection. Upload your collection again.

Two words... key chain.

USB thumb drives with key chain attachments are pretty cheap these days.
