I have always been under the impression that it is impossible to use the Chech letters Š and Ž in DVD Profiler because they are not supported in the character set that Profiler uses. It turns out that this is not entirely true. It appears that they do work in some parts of Profiler, but not in others. For example: That's just a test. I don't actually have a caron over the S in my last name. But it illustrates that you can have Š in a name (and Ž as well). But you must enter the name via Add Cast Member (or Add Crew Member). It does not work to copy the data from an external source. And - if you wonder - Š is Alt-0138 or Alt-0154, and Ž is Alt-0142 or Alt-0158 (upper and lower case). Want to see a real example of this? Download UPC 8594159070042 (Cesta do praveku) This warrants the question: Should you use Š and Ž, that only works in parts of Profiler, or should you enter them as S and Z, respectively? Any thoughts? |
