| Posted: | | | | Should we include this role?
I did find a previous thread discussing this, but the poll hasn't been updated since 2014!
So, I ask again...
Why is "Additional Visual Effects" and "Additional Special Effects" okay, but "Additional Make-up Artist" is not?! |

| Posted: | | | | I never include "additional" anything. The rules mentions Chief, Head, Key and Lead Make-up Artist, not but Additional, Assistant or similar, which to me suggests that Ken meant that only the primary artists ahould be credited. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. | Posted: | | | | If I remember correctly the Additional VFX discussion was about including the specific VFX/SFX Supervisor credit, even if the group header was Additional VFX by....
If the credit was Additional VFX by... and the specific credit was Additional VFX Supervisor underneath that header, then no credit.
Additional Makeup Artist is not mentioned in the Crew credit rules, so it's not allowed. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

Why is "Additional Visual Effects" and "Additional Special Effects" okay, but "Additional Make-up Artist" is not?! I don't think they should be allowed. It's more efficient to put Additional in the header of a group than in front of each crew member. So Additional VFX/SFX should not be contributed. We don't include Makeup, Art Director or Special Effects from Additional Photography headers. |
