I'm thinking about the recent release of Legend by Arrow Films. Disc one has the Theatrical Cut with its own set of features while disc two has the Director's Cut and its own features.

Trying to find other examples, but the two I have are done a bit differently. One is Sucker Punch with the main profile for the Unrated version and the Blu-ray child with the PG-13 theatrical version. The other is the Dawn of the Dead 4K with each of the three cuts (which are on separate discs) getting their own child profiles.

So my question is, should I have two child profiles, one for the Theatrical Cut and the second for the Director's Cut? Also, currently in the main profile the cast and crew are separated by dividers for the two cuts.

This sounds like you can do a BD/DVD combo pack situation and have the disc 2 theatrical cut as a child profile. You'd have to remove the dual credits from the main profile, explaining your reason for doing so, of course.
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

The 5-disc Blade Runner set also has profiles for each disc, done as a box set, for another example of this phenomenon.  But two of those discs are documentaries, so might not be the best template.

I agree with this and have seen this done in similar situations.  An example is the new UHD release of Donnie Darko (also by Arrow).
