| Posted: | | | | I spend a lot of work updating invelos but I just had 3 updates declined and I have no idea why, one with even yes votes. I removed the cast and crew from the double feature releases of Last of the Hard Men / Sky Riders and Fighting Mad/Moving Violations, put them on the child profiles for each film utilizing disc IDs/Alternate Disc IDs. DECLINED, even though one of them had a yes vote. I've spent months updating old double feature releases with the disc ID/Alternate Disc IDs with no problem and suddenly now I got 3 declined the same day. Too much time wasted when I could have been watching films instead of updating a database. | | | Never judge a movie by its sequel or remake |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to hear it. Thank you for all you done. It's much appreciated.
What "reason" came with the declines? Maybe it is something super simple. | | | Pete |

My (few) contributions are never time wasted because I make the changes for my own benefit and just contribute them in case anyone else is interested. If they're not, then no big deal because it only takes a minute to contribute. I would never audit a profile just to make a contribution if I didn't want the data for myself. --------------- |

Too much time wasted when I could have been watching films instead of updating a database. I read a post recently that talked about the slowdown in contributions processing. Perhaps there is a new screener in training that blew it. Hopefully the mistake will be reversed. Meanwhile, I also want to thank you for all you've done in the past. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | Sometimes if you resubmit noting why you don't think you should have been declined, the submission will be accepted on the second try. So if you think you followed the rules properly, it's probably worth appealing the decision. |

| Posted: | | | | I checked that UPC (826663-129717). It appears that your wording is the issue. You needed only to state the following: you removed the cast and crew from the parent profile of this box set. The cast and crew are contained in each of the 2 child profiles. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! | | | Last edited: by huskersports |

| Posted: | | | | I've looked at the contribution for Fighting Mad/Moving Violations and think the issue may have been with the wording.
If you'd been more specific in saying that it was a box set so the rules specify cast and crew belong in the child profiles, then submit child profiles stating the cast and crew come from the parent profile (826663125719), with the UPC in the source for the 'source for the cast/crew data' box, that should be approved. It always is when I have made changes to similar sets that way. |

--------------- This is also what I do. Sometimes, I have made a mistake(s) and the no votes or decline point out my mistake(s) and I can fix it and resubmit. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
