| Posted: | | | | Today, I received a new BluRay, that I have helped to crowdfund. It is a proper release (with EAN and everything) of an older box office movie, and the crowdfunding to digitize it for DVD- and BR-release was run by the producers themselves.
But, it is not released for general retail sale, and at this point, it is unknown if it will be.
So, what would you put for the release date, if anything at all? Would you even contribute it to the ddatabase? | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson) | | | Last edited: by Rander |

If it is, as you say, "a proper release (with EAN and everything)", then yes, it can be contributed into the database. Quote: So, what would you put for the release date, if anything at all? Maybe the the people behind the crowdfunding campaign have sent out an update along the lines of: "we'll be sending out the first batch of Blu-ray's to the crowdfunders on tuesday". In that case, *that's* the date I would use. If there has been no communication about that whatsoever, then I'd likely use the date that it arrived on my doorstep. |
