| Posted: | | | | I have combined all my 2.x skins into one layout. It features the HTML sections "RHo", "RHo comparison", "RHo big covers", and "RHo contributors" as well as all the standard windows selectable by a tab at the bottom of the main window. "RHo" and "RHo comparison" can be used for the previews in the update and addition windows. This layout can be used as a stand alone layout or for importing a HTML section into your own layout, like for example to use "RHo comparison" for update previews. The layout "RHo Classic" (1.3.6) can be downloaded from the download section. | | | Last edited: by RHo |

| Posted: | | | | I'm digging your style, RHo... and have been waiting to use your comparison skin in 3.0 ..... So will somebody please tell me how I can use it for comparisons? I've tried previewing a profile change, then editing the default view and importing the Comparison HTML window (and deleting all the others) and then clicking OK .... but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong please? |

| Posted: | | | | Squirrel, in order to use it, you have to load the layout and make sure the appropriate section is marked to be uable for previews (in the HTML Edit screen above the code). When you then open a preview, there is a dropdown box (well, actually its a drop-up box) in the bottom left corner to choose the layout used, RHo's layout should be available there.
Problems: 1. When you scroll down to the bottom, the focus seems to switch to the dropdown box and the layout changes to the default. 2. I have not yet found a way to replace the [default] with the layout of my choice permanently.
Also, you may delete the unneeded section of the RHo Classic Layout and then save your own layout again (with the Rho HTML window deselected), so that it is still available next time you open DVD Profiler or even more afte you changed the layout next time... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. When I compare profiles, the Country of Origin is not showing the new "New Profile" section, yet is being compared correctly. Here's a screenshot of what I mean. You'll notice that they are shown as different, US vs. Nothing, yet the icon doesn't show them as changed. So I modified the profile, removing the country of origin, then refreshed the profile online, and the country of origin was then filled as United States. The same behaviour happens in both RHo Comparison and RHo. Default preview also exhibits this behaviour, but then it doesn't show the COO at all. |

I have to pass this to Ken. I simply use the tag <DP NAME="COUNTRY_OF_ORIGIN"> and it is up to Ken what to replace this for. |

Thanks Achim, though it took me a while to figure out what you meant here For the sake of others who are struggling: 1. Preview the profile changes 2. Click Edit button that is next to "Preview With" at the bottom. 3. Choose File > Import from Layout and load up RHo's layout. 4. Select the RHo Comparison section name. 5. Click the Preview tab at the bottom of the screen. 6. Tick the "Suitable for Previews" checkbox at the top of the preview screen. Quoting ya_shin: Quote:

Oh, really? So I gotta go through the above process each time? | | | Last edited: by Squirrelecto |

I believe I tried saving the HTML window as part of my layout but forgot if that helped... (cannot check right now). Ken, any chance on getting back the Option to select a specific HTML window to replace the [default] comparison layout, like we had in 2.4...? | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. It worked for my layout. Now all I have to do is select it when previewing. |

| Posted: | | | | It's working fine for me. I don't even have to reselect it. It's remembered it between Profiler sessions. There is a small bug when using the mouse scroll wheel to scroll through the profiles though. When you hit the bottom of the profile, the focus shifts to the Preview With box. So I end up scrolling through the profile, then Default Preview gets selected inadvertently, and I end up scrolling through the profile again but with a different style | | | Last edited: by Squirrelecto |

How did you do it..? I got mine to "Stick" when I first selected the comparison skin, then when I was comparing a profile, I clicked ok to accept it. It seemed to stay after that, before that I was getting the same results that you were. | | | The Other DVD Forum Why do people who know the least know it the loudest? |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks tlevel and Squirrel.God. I am still in early stages of transfering from 2.5 to 3.0 and haven't actually "Oked" out of that screen, only exited by Cancel... Guess I'll tray that later today. After that, I only have to get rid of [default]. Gotta be able to find the related HTML file somewhere and then just rename it (I guess). | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

When I did it, I had it to "Accept Partial" and had at least one check box checked, it was also displaying the layout that I wanted to use. Sorry if you already tried this though. | | | The Other DVD Forum Why do people who know the least know it the loudest? |
