| Posted: | | | | So I just got The Flintstones series set. Normally with the disc level child profiles for these, usually the seasons are split across their own disc or discs. Well, here disc 1 is the Complete First Season (that one is straight forward) however disc 2 mostly contains season 1 episodes, however the first 5 episodes of season 2 are on there as well.
Here's how the set outlines: Disc 1 - Start of Season 1 Disc 2 - Continuation of Season 1/First 5 eps of Season 2 Disc 3 - Continuation of Season 2 Disc 4 - Continuation of Season 2/First 8 Eps of Season 3 Disc 5 - Continuation of Season 3 Disc 6 - Continuation of Season 3 (last 3 eps)/First 14 eps of Season 4 Disc 7 - Continuation of Season 4/First 5 eps of Season 5 Disc 8 - Continuation of Season 5 Disc 9 - Continuation of Season 5 (last 4 eps)/Start of Season 6 Disc 10 - Continuation of Season 6/2 Animated Movies
Edit: Thinking about it, would the profiles be titled something like
The Flintstones: The Complete Series: Disc 1: Episodes 1-17 The Flintstones: The Complete Series: Disc 2: Episodes 18-34 etc
That's not what's labeled on the discs but the included episode guide.
OR
Would I need to do disc clones for every time the season splits? | | | Last edited: by The Movieman |

| Posted: | | | | I believe it would be one Disc ID for each disc.
I would label them simply "The Flintstones: The Complete Series: Disc 1", "The Flintstones: The Complete Series: Disc 2" etc. Otherwise it could be far too complicated and may leave it open to interpretation.
The Overview for each disc should contain at least a simple episode listing. That's where you could say "Season 1: Episodes 1-6", or whatever is applicable. |

| Posted: | | | | Sounds reasonable. Just wondering why Warner wasn't thinking about DVD Profiler when they put this set together! |

Who's to say they weren't thinking about DVDP. Executive in their boardroom "Let's mix up the seasons over the discs to give those DVDP users something to argue about " |

| Posted: | | | | As seen from My Movies for Windows Media Center...I purchased this as well. Don't have my copy yet. Cataloged the release ahead of time based on the insert shown in an unboxing video. And yes, you can have your cake and eat it too. I still cataloged this per season despite 5 of the discs containing episodes that carry over from one season to another. I also maintained the sequential numbering used for the episodes across the series as a whole (as will be seen from the Blu-ray menus) while also including the numbering per season. As seen from the left pane of my phpDVDProfiler based website...(Clicking on the image above will take you to my phpDVDProfiler based website. It's not mobile device friendly though as the website uses old school frames. If viewed from a mobile device I suggest performing a press and hold of a given profile in the left pane selecting the option to view the profile in a new tab. Works well.)And below are URL's to my parent profiles. The "Overview" for each profile mirrors the given DVD release. Also included within a given "Overview" are the Blu-ray "Special Features" that apply in addition to an "Episode List" and "Episode Guide" (with images) which serves as an excellent alternative to the insert included with the release. And again, I still maintain the sequential numbering used for the episodes across the series as a whole while also including the numbering per season. The Flintstones: The Complete SeriesThe Flintstones: The Complete First SeasonThe Flintstones: The Complete Second SeasonThe Flintstones: The Complete Third SeasonThe Flintstones: The Complete Fourth SeasonThe Flintstones: The Complete Fifth SeasonThe Flintstones: The Complete Sixth SeasonThe Man Called FlintstoneThe Flintstones and WWE: Stone Age Smackdown! And yes, I'm using the DVD cover art for each season and "The Man Called Flintstone" and the Blu-ray cover art for "The Flintstones and WWE: Stone Age Smackdown!". Makes for a much nicer browsing experience if you ask me. Pretty much all set at this point. Love being able to hit the ground running once a given purchase arrives at my front door. Once my copy arrives I'll be adding the Disc ID's, i.e. updating the "Disc Info" for each profile in addition to updating the disc level profiles identifying each by their Disc ID's instead. I'll also be scanning the packaging as I need a better back cover image for the release as a whole. Of course I cataloged this release for use locally. Don't care how a given TV series release is organized. I always break it down per season. To each his own naturally. Prefer to roll my own. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |
