| Posted: | | | | There are a lot of spam threads on this section of the forum, ranging from call girls to technology.
Does anyone have moderation powers to delete them and ban the users? |

| Posted: | | | | I think I'm running out of negative votes today.....
I don't think I've seen it as bad as it is today. Fortunately, it's still limited to this subforum, but I wonder how long that will last.
I have no idea how many serious new users still sign up, but it might be a good idea to close the registration and take a closer look at the registration procedure. |

| Posted: | | | | I think the auto-moderation is keyed off of total votes on a post. If a post exceeds a predefined count, the post is removed. I don't recall if the user has their posting rights taken away. But if it doesn't remove all of their posts, then the solution for the spammer is just what they did, spam multiple spam posts hoping that users will give up and stop downvoting them. |

| Posted: | | | | I personally still give all of them Negative Rating. Although yesterday was a tad excessive. I almost ran out of Negative responses I could give.

| Posted: | | | | I do too, but it's obvious there aren't enough people downvoting to have the posts automatically removed as is evident by the fact that the posts are still here and the option to down vote the first wave has disappeared. |

The only way to post outside the new user forum costs money. As for anything else I wouldn't expect it to happen. I was surprised they replaced the server when it went down, but they still haven't addressed the online profile list download issue that arose out of it. Nor are broken profiles in the online collection being fixed - see The Abyss in my list for an example. This is essentially end of life minimal maintenance as far as I can see. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |
