This tells me that you don't pay much attention in the forums. Something I have learned from reading these forums, and this goes all the way bact to IVS, is that there are a lot of people that do not watch shows when they are aired on TV. Quite a few wait until the show is released on DVD...some actually wait until the complete series is released. Why don't they deserve a little common courtesy?

It's still only your opinion that it was a spoiler. You're saying so doesn't make it so.
Actually, it wasn't just my opinion. It was also the opinion of the people who had not seen that seasons episodes yet.

If it were a spoiler, I'd agree.
To paraphrase, it is only your opinion that it wasn't a spoiler. You're saying so doesn't make it so. The simple fact that several users objected to the information being revealed should tell you that it was, in fact, a spoiler.
I honestly don't get this "I don't think it is a spoiler so too bad for you" attitude. And to support what you are saying - BSG series 3 was never on mainstream TV in the UK - it was only on Sky so since I am on Virginmedia, I had no access to the series until it came out on DVD. | | | Paul |

I just don't get some people. What does Telepathy have to do with this? Here is the beginning of my first post on this subject: First off let me just say that I'm not against having spoiler tags in the forums but I have to agree with both Skip and Cliff on the issues of what exactly constitutes a "spoiler" and when can a certain topic can be discussed without someone crying foul. You know what...please, let's just drop this. The majority of us were all in favor of having spoiler tags and, loosely quoting Capt. Picard, "Ken made it so". | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection | | | Last edited: by Bad Father |

Just for the record: Season 3 hasn't yet aired in Germany and the DVD isn't available as well, so in my opinion, major spoilers should be put in the spoiler tag no matter how long ago the episode aired. |

Quote: The best implementation of spoiler tag i've seen creates a button that says "Spoiler - Click to Show" and then once you click that it opens up below in the same color as the forum... the selection aspect is not needed, as i find that to be kind of annoying... and that way it can hide pictures as well...
I completely agree. I assume, Ken did a quick hack (thank you, Ken) and will do a better implementation once he is no longer so busy with 3.5. I also hope a "Click to Show" implementation will be done later on. Today, when I wanted to visit the forum with my iPod Touch, I couldn't read the spoilers as the Safari browser on it cannot do text selection (a drawback of the Safari I find annoying). | | |
