So you're saying that all the bad rules have been re-written, just not implemented yet?

No I didn't say that. Most everyone is taking a break from it now... I tried to bring up a topic or 2 when 3.5 beta came out... but no one else was discussing... so I believe most are waiting till 3.5 is closer to release to see exactly what we will have to work with first.

I have a posting in the rules forum and as for now, the only response is: Rule is fine as it is for that particulary item, the rules committee is tired?

The way it always worked was we...
1. Discuss if a change should be made
2. Discuss and create the best possible wording for a rule
3. Bring it to Ken's Attention

From there it is always up to Ken to use to the new rule and it's wording or not. Ken always has final say... as I believe he should.

Looks like now there is even no more discussion:
point one should be If there is a problem with ruling bring it to the attention of the Contribution Rules Committee
Now members don't even want to see there is a problem. Most only vote: Rule is fine as it is.
Those members are not there to solve problems. Looks like they are there to protect their hard obtained rules.

Looking at what you posted there today... first lets get straight that it is on 1 topic... not on the rules as a whole.

Going by what I gathered from what you wrote I don't see the problem you do.  But I will admit that I don't think I understand completely what you are saying. I can't even go by the images you used as examples since they are not showing up.

First, there is no 'Rules Committee'.  Anybody, that has an interest, can join that forum.  They simply need to ask Ken for access.  I have yet to hear of anybody requesting access being turned down.

Second, just because you think there is a problem, doesn't mean there is one.  Maybe people are voting "Rule is fine as it is" because they actually believe that the rule is fine as it is.  I know that is how I feel about your current post.

Third, just because people don't agree with your opinion, that there is a problem, doesn't mean they are trying to protect their hard obtained rules.  It simply means they don't agree with your opinion.

If you asked access, you are part of the Contribution Rules Committee

opinion should have nothing to do with the rules comitee. not mine nor yours or anybody elses.
You look at facts, check the facts and do something about it.

Contrary to the former committees, this one consists only of those people Invelos has granted access. So it is actually the first "formal" committee. At the moment it looks like Invelos grants access to anyone who asks.

Rho let's try to teach you some English. At no point did I state that all users participated in that forum. I said
That's the name of the Forum Ken created, there is no formal committee, it is made up of ALL who wish to participate. And yes EVERY user has the ability to request and be granted access. It has also proven to be an utter disaster, I think we have actually got to a couple of pretty clear consensuses but most of the polls taken show pretty close to a split, which was the Teams were assembled as they were.

Only those who are granted access by Invelos may participate. This looks pretty formal to me. The fact, that Invelos has decided to grant anybody access who asks, does not change this.

I will give you that one.  I forgot that was the name of the forum.

You gave an example where, in your opinion, there is a problem.  As I said, just because you believe it is a problem doesn't make it so.  I don't see it as a problem.

I am sorry, but that doesn't make any sense.  Whether or not there is a problem is a matter of opinion.  You seem to think that, just because you have a problem with a rule, it is a fact.  I am sorry, but that simply isn't true.
