If I know, John, that is not the only reason, just the straw that broke the camel's back. I understand, John.

I've been watching all the Harry Potter movies this week in HD. And regardless of what their case type is listed as in the database (online or local), I've still been enjoying them just the same. So let's have a little perspective here. I think some people are using this program to track their DVDs (which is their real hobby). And I think some collect DVDs to profile them (which is their real hobby). I belong to the former group and I don't let mistakes in the database stop me from enjoying my movies. I still know exactly which DVDs I own. I still have an excellant list to pass on to my insurance agent in the event of fire, theft, etc. I still have an online website to pass on to other when they want to know what I own. Having one case type listed incorrectly is really small potatoes in the larger picture (for me of course). That's not to say is should be incorrect or that bad rules shouldn't be fixed. But it shouldn't turn us on each other either. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

Seems like you may have hit the nail on the head. So far, no exceptions posted! Except for "nutcase" maybe ... but come to think of it: if I have multiple personality disorder, the definition holds true! | | | --- ¡Hola! |

So because you don't agree with this one rule that Ken has set down, you no longer contribute? That doesn't make much sense to me My mother always spoke about her childhood friend who argued that if they didn't play the way SHE wanted to, she'd take her dishes and go home. It seems to me that is exactly the attitude expressed by some of our user community. I don't like the rules, so I'm not gonna play. What I don't understand is that it's not that hard to follow the rules for the online database -- and keep thing the way you want them for your local database. That's what we've been told when we have a disagreement with the rules -- often by the same people who are NOW saying THEY don't want to be bound by the rules. This reeks of pure hypocracy. I find it amusing to see the peope who have lectured and/or hectored others about following the rules are now rationalizing why THEY shouldn't have to abide by the rules. Those shoes really pinch when worn on the other foot, eh wot? | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. The rule seems pretty clear to me: one item in it=Slip cover, more items=Slip case. Why? Because Ken said so After reading the complete topic, I found this post to be most worthwhile. Goes to show how meaningless the rest was to me. By the way: Ken sent me | | | Martin Zuidervliet

| Posted: | | | | In all fairness, I feel it's appropriate to acknowledge the fact that Skip DID eventually remove his no-vote (he switched to 'neutral'). Thank you for that, Skip. My update has since been approved. Case closed - at least I hope it won't be necessary to start all over again in a few months time... |

As Skip said, it is just the last of a number of things that in my opinion have made the program harder to use, and contributed to less accurate and useful data. | | | John
