On the whole I agree with this too; IMO with something like an overview you can't part fix and part leave it and expect Yes votes because you end up contributing something incorrect. I agree for overview, but what about crew? Not everybody is interested in locating the caterer and gophers, I usually stick to the director and artistic contributors (composer, writers). Also for cast, sometimes the list is endless with "watchman #16" etcetera. | | | Hans |

BTW folks, a large amount of your profiles will be deleted if you guys sit back and allow this divider trash to continue. Dividers are one of the worst ideas to come along and the way Skip is attempting to use them, it will only get worse. We are losing data and a lot of it. Agreed, like the 'as credited' function the use for these has not been set out in the rules, so why on earth are people using them as a reason to delete data? It was exactly the same with the mad rush to remove TV crew data we saw in 2.5, but at least that had a reason in the rules (even if it was a bizarre rule). Thankfully I haven't seen any of this with the titles I own yet. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | I don't think Skip should be forced to make corrections he doesn't want to, as long as he didn't make the errors himself in the first place. In my opinion, the appropriate thing to do would be to vote yes, and note that he could have changed the rest of the italics too. I don't think a 'no' vote in this case is valid. (Since Skip didn't introduce the error). So I agree with Rho on this.

Actually you aren't even close to being the one who does the most, you just brag about everything you do. For example the is a contributor who is constantly submitting profiles, yet I have never heard him brag. The stats speak for themselves. synner_manForum Posts: 68 Accepted Profile Contributions: 10186Accepted Image Contributions: 5498Contribution Votes Cast: 2989 skipnet50Forum Posts: 2494 Accepted Profile Contributions: 2662Accepted Image Contributions: 2459Contribution Votes Cast: 3331 Before you attack me for my stats let me point out that I never claimed to do "more than anyone else" | | | Last edited: by icollectdvds |

| Posted: | | | | I collect if you would bother to read and comprehend things before trying to just jump in. The existing data includes automated Contributions that were made when Invelos craked , so at this time they are irrelevant. Get back to us in a year. Some people just have to try. As long as a change results in no incorrect data added, or correct data lost, I can't see justifying a "no" vote. The goal is to move inexorably towards a perfect database, and anything that moves it in that direction should be approved. If you have better data, please convey it. Everything else is histrionics. |
