Method One Method Two
BOXSET (Movie or TV) Alternate Method: Add a checkbox to indicate [] Boxset Keepcases w/S.cover Then pick approp. case type Keepcases w/Sleeve Keepcases w/S.cover Digipack w/S.cover Keepcases w/Sleeve Digipack w/Sleeve Digipack w/S.cover Custom Digipack w/Sleeve Keepcase SINGLE TITLE Thinpack Digipack Keepcase w/S.cover Custom Keepcase w/Sleeve Keepcase Digipack Thinpack Custom
If I'm reading this right, you're suggesting that just adding "slip case" to case types is too generic, and we actually need more, more specific entries? If that's the case, then I like that idea a lot. I think you'd also need Thinpaks with slipcovers in the box set list. And to answer your question, a Steelbook is a single type case (basically it's a keepcase made out of metal). |

I wonder if adding a CHECKBOX to indicate if there's a slipcase or not, as T!M has suggested elsewhere, would not resolve much (if not all) of the ongoing disputes here. The dropdown menu can then be reserved for what some call the "inner" packaging. |

| Posted: | | | | The problem with moving the slip cover info to a checkbox is, what do we use for case type for parent profiles of box sets? |

| Posted: | | | | I do see your point.
Just a thought: why not call it what it really is (physically, I mean): if it's a cardboard box, call it a cardboard box. If it's a fat keep case, call it keep case. If it's a digipak, call it digipak etc.
Trying to find a constructive solution - I have no intention of entering the arena of nitpicking here. |

In my opinion that's is where you would use the checkbox. You would not use it for the child profiles. Achim, you know all too well that making things simple and accurate just doesn't wash with this group. Or so it would seem. | | | Dan |

Use the "inner" child case type. You will then know that it has children in a specific case type, enclosed in a slip case. Alternately, make case type optional...then you could leave it blank and just tick the "Slip Case" checkbox. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |
