A flashing zombie?!? This I cant wait to see! A carwash nearby has their electronic sign set to say "No streaking allowed". For some reason, Gerri points it out to me each time we pass it. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

Any of these would get me excited: Update to the Profile/Image Comparison page (already announced) Ability to profile discs properly that have multiple movies on one side of a disc Ability to have original and re-release cover scans Tool to extract headshots Ability to select if the Cast & Crew on Wishlist profiles (for example) are included or excluded to Cast & Crew Information count Longer fields for: custom roles, etc. Any improvements to the online collection view --------------- |

This would allow using the headshots for 3rd party tools (like PHPDVDProfiler). Besides, the developer in me flinches every time I think of a photo being stored in a database blob field. |

For example, the over 10k photos in the HSDB is not accessible this way. Speaking of 10k headshots, all those in one directory would suck. Probably would need to utilize subdirectories like all starting with "A" in subdirectory "A". |

Yeah, well, I have a tool that creates the images with their proper filenames for me... Quote:

| Posted: | | | | Scott and DJ Really your suggestion on headshots. Do not get your hopes up. All those photos are copyrighted and owned by somebody. You can do them locally, but if invelos did, they would then become responsible to pay for the image use. Not a good idea. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

I don't want them online, I just want them in the filesystem instead of a database table. --------------- |

There's a performance hit at the OS level with a directory that contains many thousands of files. One thing that can help is to use a disk defragmenter that can defragment directories as well. A directory that contains thousands of files can be very fragmented, especially if files are not added all at the same time. Directory caching can help improve performance but if the file in question is in the last sector of a long fragmented directory structure, the drive has to jump all over to reach it. |

O&O Defrag Professional (64-bit) 15.0.107 is a defrag program that allow you defrag by zone and specify various files in the zone. I'm trying it now using the basic zone setting and it seems to help. | Posted: | | | | DJ, your image broke the page (standard LCD)... Looking forward to the new image comparison, I wasn't sure whether to accept the new image for Hellboy: Director's Cut, it just looked WAY brighter than my copy of it does, but I thought, "Aw, what the heck" and kept it anyway (didn't feel like doing a database restore). With the new image comparison, I can see the changes made and decide whether or not I want to keep it. Question: Will the upgrade affect existing locks? (noticed the edition of some graphcs there, looks good). I have alot of my genres locked (along with selected things on some profiles), hopefully those won't be removed with the upgrade.
