We should either include <Line Break> or insert additional CRs so each line is only 7 or 8 words long. Your sarcasm is showing! |

I see that in dvdprofilerland, some people consider we must remain stupid (I use your word). That may have been what you wanted to do, but it isn't what you did. You claimed that, since I advocate following the rules for this program, I would let a baby drown because of a no swimming rule. That is an attack on my character...no different than the attack Skip made on your's when he made his absurd analogy. Quote: As for contributing, you already know my position. But I'm not sure he really wants rules being strict in all cases, even when we are far beyond common sense. It would be interesting to have his opinion about that... I don't know what Ken wants. None of us do. Until he chimes in, all we have are our opinions. Your opinion differs from mine, which is fine. But, unlike you and Hal, I will not attack your character because of it. Edit: I see Ken has now chimed in on this. Since he has, I will gladly follow his direction. Unicus, I can't speak for Surfeur, but for myself, I never said that you would allow babies to drown. Using the analogy assumed that neither you nor any other person of reasonable intelligence would allow a baby to drown because of a silly "Rule". If you took my affirmation of the analogy as a personal attack, I apologize. It was certainly not my intent. | | | Hal |

No, he expected ("suppose") you would do that and therefore it does not have to be something you will actually do. That is an attack on my character... You are incredible. What I meant was of course that you wouldn't let a baby drown, so in this case you wouldn't follow the rules. So why not have the same attitude in dvdprofilerland ??? We call that "reductio ad absurdum"... My english must be very poor that everything I write is taken in the wrong way... I apologize for the misunderstanding. | | | Images from movies | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |
