But I fully agree with you in the point that the rules-rule-guys started to kill the community; it's rather disapointing if you get a contribution vote "Read the rules" or even worse, you get insulted without any constructive commentary...

I've pointed out the rudeness myself once or twice. But as for the read the rules comments, I do sometimes point people to the sections in the rules as there isn't enough room in the notes to provide any more info.

There's little point in PM'ing over the relevant rule when it's already there and copy/paste messes up the formatting.

Just being curious: Anybody who can explain this word to a non-native-speaker?

What is it with you US guys about spelling? How can it be so difficult for you? Is there any other country in the world where they have  spelling bees for their native language? UK gyus? I'm not a native english speaker and it took me whole 15sec. to learn how to spell that word.

Not not in the UK either Kulju.

It seems like a way to totally stress out American children in public, ones who generally are not good enough to play sports? ? ?

Should it have been guyes?

I freaked out my friend's daughter by spelling "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" a few years ago. And then freaked her out more when I could spell every word she could come up with.

Yeah, I was a nerd in school. I won all the spelling bees when I was a kid.
