My Thoughts:

I been watching the new TV Series Bates Motel with Brittany lately. While watching an episode Brittany told me that she never seen the film Psycho. Well this is something I felt I had to fix as soon as possible. After all it is one of my all-time favorite classic films. I have watched this movie time and again... and I never seem to tire of it. Though this is the first time of watching it since I got the Alfred Hitchcock: Masterpiece Collection. There really is nothing about this movie I dislike. As I am learning... Hitchcock was an outstanding artist. Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles, Janet Lee... everyone were amazing in their roles. I pretty much know this movie by heart... and still I am glued to my seat every time I watch it. I really can't recommend this movie high enough.

My Thoughts:
Well, that was a cool action movie. Going in to this one, i actually had my expactations up a bit. A great cast, and a cool trailer. And i actually have to say that with a interesting\cool story like the movie had. And with both John Travolta and Salma Hayek i expected maby a bit more from them. (i hoped i would see a Travolta in form like we saw in 'From Paris With Love' or Pulp Fiction) but we didnt. But there was a few good spots in the movie, that i really enjoyed. And there was stuff happening all the time. But for me personally, i wouldnt mind if the movie ended at the 2hour mark. It didnt need a 2hr 20min running time IMO. But as a actionflick it did its purpose. Oh, just one thing tho. Whats up with John Travoltas hair?! But for the movie. I would recommand you guys to check it out.

My Thoughts:
I just have to say that what a movie! I remember i watched this aages ago on dvd when it first came out! And i've wanted to check it out on blu for awhile. And now i finally got the time. And the movie is still as great as i remember it to be! The story got you glued to the screen trough out the movie. The hunt on the treasure. The visual efects etc. Great! An ok cast that did an ok job! And i have to say that they did a great job with the upgrade from DVD to Blu. Well done! A few minor details here and there that i didnt quite 'get' other than that. Almost a perfect movie! Looking forward to check out the movie number 2 in the series sometime! And this is ofcourse highly recommanded to check out!

While my home is in disarray due to remodeling, I was scanning HULU, and I caught IRIS II: New Generation, a 2013 South Korean espionage television series.

It aired on KBS2, (Korean Broadcasting System) from February 13 to April 18, 2013.
The show follows the members of NSS (National Security Service) as they try to end IRIS and is relevant to the current world affairs, terrorism, nuclear weapons. IRIS is a terrorist group pits both sides against each other, operating on information from members that infiltrate into the various national security forces.

I found the series very entertaining, so much so that I have bought and received, (yesterday) its predecessors, IRIS and Athena: Goddess of War. I created basic profiles, but since I don't have access to my printer/scanner they are not in any shape to contribute, but can be viewed in my online db..

The each of the series:
Genre: Action, Romance, Thriller
20 episodes each with a running time of 60 minutes per episode.
Korean/Mandarin with English/Chinese  subtitles.
region code: all.
format: NTSC

IRIS & IRIS II rating 4.5/5 in both content and production.
Athena: Goddess of War rating 3.5/5

My Thoughts:
So i just watched this one, and the follow up with two good friends of mine. Just going to write a quick review of them both before going to bed. This movie is actually a good movie. A movie about rich people getting what they want. Poor people pretending to be rich. And people that get mixed up in some bad buisness and some real bad people. And need to make his choises there after. And this Swedish movie takes us on a good journey, of both money, greed, jealousy. Murder, betrayl. A few good spots in the movie actually. Some good acting here and there. A good story, that they did good things with. But (for me) the movie went on a bit too long. And it was slow in some places. And there was some spots in the movie that i didnt have a clue why even was there. (Maby thats just me) But all in all, a good Swedish action movie. That i recommand you Scandinavias out there to check out.

My Thoughts:
And for the second movie in this 'series' was a good follow up actually. You get to follow some of the main characters from the first movie. After everything that happend in the first one. And it makes for a good and real interesting movie. The plot is strong. The acting is a bit better than last time. And this movie answers a few quastions. And take some of the characters in some places and situations they have never been before. (Quite good actually) Again a good action movie mixed with some good suspence. A movie that i again recommand for all the Scandinavians out there. Thats it for now guys.

My Thoughts:
Well, that was actually an allright horror movie. A good story, some ok acting. They made it look very 'real' like it actually was amateurs just playing around with a camera. And alot of crazy shiitake mushroom happend in those woods! So for the movie itself, it was a good one! BUT for a blu-ray, (i havent seen the DVD, so cant say anything) but the picture quality was bad for a bluray. No HD, no widescreen. And the sound? Well, blarh. So for you guys that have the DVD i wouldnt upgrade it i guess (dont know what i'm talking about really) but it wasnt real 'bluray' quality over this. But still a good horrorflick. A horrorflick that you guys should check out. With some cool extras aswell!

Well, going in to this movie i didnt know much really. Just heard great things about it. And i have to say, the movie was a bit different that i expected it to be. Something new happening in a every corner. Wich is always great. But at the same time, you was wondering, 'whats next' and with both Rosamund Pike (wich was nice to see again btw!) and Tom Cruise in good form. It was a great mix. A movie that i would watch again. Well, i just watched this yesterday with some good friends of mine. And i didnt know what to expect really. But it was a bit different than i thought it would be. I saw what they tried to do with the whole thing. With a good story. And the movie had its moments here and there. But for me, to make this a great movie. It had too many flaws in the story and the plot. But the movie told a story loud and clear. And i got that. But for the movie all in all. Its an avarge action\suspence movie. Check it out for a cheap penny. Not a movie i would pay full price for.

My Thoughts:
So this one too i've been watching in between things. A match here, a match there etc. And for this dvdset i have to admit that i was a bit dissapointed. Every wrestlingfan knows about the 'WM streak' and the legend knows as 'Undertaker' so i hoped\thought maby that we would get more 'interviews' or some more of the story behind it all. But all we got from that was some of his 'Victims' as they called them. But for the matches in this one. There are some incredible matches. (Maby even the greatest match to date?) So thats always nice. But i guess they could do a bit more on this. But again, for wrestling fans. I would recommand you guys to check it out. You might like it.

Plot:
In May of 1941, RKO Radio Pictures released a controversial film by a 25-year-old, first-time director. That premiere of Orson Welles' 'Citizen Kane' was to have a profound and lasting effect of the art of motion pictures. It has been hailed as the best American film ever made, and it's as powerful a film today as it was fifty years ago. It earned eight Academy Award nominations and won the Oscar for Best Screenplay.

Through its unique jigsaw-puzzle storyline, inventive cinematography, brilliant ensemble acting, and direction by Welles, the story of Charles Foster Kane is a fascinating portrait of America's love of power and materialism, and the corruption it sometimes fosters. Like all great films, 'Citizen Kane' is a memorable fusion of cinematic art and marvellous entertainment.

My Thoughts:
Going in to this movie i didnt know much. Watched the trailer, and heard some different stuff about it. So i tried to keep my expactations low. And i have to say what a masterpiece of a movie it was! I didnt know much about the story or anything. And it kinda blew me away. Everything from the story and plot of the movie. To the people behind the cameras. It was (for me) perfectly done! A B&W movie, from the 'early' days. And i did pull it of perfectly! I dont have much else to say then what a masterpiece! A movie that i cant recommand any higher! A movie that i will watch again and again!

My Thoughts:
Wow.. i've heard great things about this one. But didnt see any trailers, didnt know what it was about. But they have a supersale on new movies at one of the local stores here. And i decided why not. And going in to this one, knowing nothing. I have to just say first off, what a great movie! A movie that is based on a true story. A great story that is. A real great cast, that worked really well together. Always anything happening in the movie. And for me its interesting to see how the 'good cops' work against the 'bad cops' and the mob. To get a sivil and legal country. And its interesting to see how much power the gangsters have, both over police, judges, all kinds of people they got in theire pockets. And i kinda got 'this is the real deal' vibe. For me, just a perfect gangster movie really. For me, i cant recommand it any higher!

My Thoughts:
After watching and enjoying the first two movies in this 'series' i decided i had to check this one out aswell. And aswell as the first movies, i liked the first best. For alot of reasons. But this movie was allright. Not the most original storyline\plot. But some cool car chases. And some great actionscenes. And the movie had its moments here and there. And after watching this movie, i have to wonder if there will be a movie number 4?! All in all, its a fun and cheap entertainment. If you enjoyed the first 2 movies. You should check this one out aswell. And some cool extras aswell, wich is well worth checking out.

My Thoughts:
So, after hearing alot of great things about this one. And picking up 2 Oscars (i think it was) and seeing the trailer. I had to watch. And today me and some friends checked it out. And where to start? The story\plotline was catching. Had me glued to the tv trough out the movie. Something happening all the time. If you looked away, you missed something. And the crew? Wow, amazing job by most of them. And what to say about Jamie Foxx? Great! So was Leo IMO. And what is a Tarantino movie without some great blood scenes? Was a few of them aswell. (wich is a must in a Tarantino movie!) That mixed with some comedy here and there. And that with the music they used in some of the scenes. Perfect! I really really loved this movie actually! They just pulled it of perfectly! Its on my top 3 list of best watched movies this year. A movie that i cant recommand any higher really! Check it out!
