I wonder, what is this "butchering" of the credits?

@ninso4, did you not pay attention to the replies and votes you got in the thread you both created and link to?

You have written here that the credit for e.g., All About Eve is invalid, when Charles LeMaire received an Academy Award for his work, as a Costume Designer, AKA Wardrobe Director?

I'd say this whole thread is invalid.

There's a community majority that suggest "Wardrobe Director" is a valid credit and interchangeable with Costume Designer.

Firstly, I don't like your tone here. Next time you write to me in that way I'll put you on the Ignore list.

Secondly, the results of the thread about Wardrobe Director changed just a few days ago. Until then there was a clear majority of votes for Wardrobe Director being an invalid credit. That was the factual basis when I lastly updated this common name thread.
Now with some new argumentation this changed drastically. There's now a majority for Wardrobe Director being a valid credit. I haven't had the time to take a look at the Wardrobe Director thread nor to make an update in this common name thread. Next time I'll to that I consider the new results of the Wardrobe Director thread.
Think different

Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
