| Posted: | | | | Look, I resurrected this thread (took my ages to find it again) A movie I having been wanting a copy of for a while is being released tomorrow on dvd in OZ. Any of you that like sci-fi like I do will most probably like this very old movie - the rest of you will just consider it porn "Lifeforce" - that old 1985 horror/sci-fi is going to be available on dvd. No blu-ray unfortunately. Looks like JB's will be flogging it for $9.99 Ok, go ahead and laugh all of you.. but I've had this on my wishlist for a very long time |

Ok, go ahead and laugh all of you.. but I've had this on my wishlist for a very long time Hello Parsec, let me know if Lifeforce is uncut, and in anamorphic widescreen. Looks like all other releases are either pan&scan or non-anamorphic. Thanks in advance | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

| Posted: | | | | Says nothing on JB's site to let me know...
Looked up the supposed supplier.. Visual Entertainment Group - but it's not even listed there.
So don't hold your breath for the widescreen.. I guess I'll find out when I get it (ordered it online). |

Be interested to hear if your JB stocks it. I have found that the one I frequent doesn't seem to stock as much as I like, it's much more mainstream. I can't even find a blu-ray copy of 'The Day' there (excuse my affinity for B grade movies). They haven't shipped my online order copy yet, so maybe I'll get the price reduction that W0m6at noted. I was hoping it would be shipped on it's release date.... |

Well I got my copy in the mail today.. finally. It appears to be just a copy of what has been previously released overseas. Just stamp out a new run of dvd's, stick it in a different cover, whack a upc on it and flog it off for 9.99 As to being uncut, I think only the US ever got a cut version. But at least I have a copy now. It's the 2.35:1 version and looked a little undersize. Fortunately my player has a zoom so I watched it at 2x which filled up the EH-TW9100 screen nicely!! Hmm maybe I should watched Matilda May in 3D as well |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the feedback Parsec. Maybe I'll get the UK release sometime next year. I don't think a Blu-Ray release is to be expected. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

| Posted: | | | | Yeah. Couldn't help myself. Picked it up at Big W in their sale. Reduced from $8.83 to $6.61. I shall have to get my U.K. release out of storage to compare the two. It'll be a couple of days; have to get it out of my brothers shed. Cheers Bill | | | In the end; Winning is the only safety. Kerr Avon Blakes 7 Series 4, Ep. Blake. |
