| Posted: | | | | Nero Backitup isn't running in the background; it's a scheduled backup that runs in the middle of the night.
I'll try the other suggestions tonight.
There's 25GB free on a 100GB hard drive, btw. I defragged it last night to see if that might help and we'll see. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

Exclude those from the backup and see if that changes the sitiuation, think (can't remember this right now) some other user may had a simular problem with a backup or synchronisation program. I had a problem where a overnight backup program had failed and locked some files so I couldn't update them. I have a continuous backup running (carbonite) - and this gives no problems at all. | | | Paul |

DVD Profiler files are not included in the backup. The defragmentation didn't help. Neither did shutting off and removing Simple Statistics. What does seem to work is updating existing profiles first; it downloads the small update file. Then adding discs works off of that and doesn't (usually) try to download the whole 13+MB file. So that seems to be a workaround, if an inelegant and inconsistent one. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

| Posted: | | | | Check your OnlineList.dod or OnlineListSel.dod files to see how big they are before updating. If they are less than 20,000+/-KB then you have a problem. These files should be located in the Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\DVD Profiler folder. Perhaps DVD Profiler can't find them and keeps downloading the complete list. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Make sure that the path set matches the location of the OnlineList.dod and OnlineListSel.dod files. Well, maybe this is something. Those files are in C:\Documents and Settings\Mark\Application Data\DVD Profiler like Max said. But the Tools > Options > File Folders in all cases points to C:\Documents and Settings\Mark\My Documents\DVD Profiler I changed the first one (Layout) to match Application Data (since there were layout files there) and.... I think it worked. The update is 52 KB. Fingers crossed, fingers crossed.... | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." | | | Last edited: by gardibolt |

| Posted: | | | | I had problems like this 2, i fixed this by checking ou the profiles. All the ones that gave an error had wrong locality's. So for example i had on my pc in the database a profile with locality USA and online this profile has UK locality. By changing the locality corresponding to the online one it got fixed... |

| Posted: | | | | Telecine, You were right on the money. I changed the path for layouts and now it seems to be consistently getting the small update and not the entire file. Green arrow for you!! | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |
