Quote: it seems clear that the Frank Capra is separate from the titles. Seeing your cover scan, I'd say his name is part of the box set title.
...but as explained by others the name is not part of the movie titles. I absolutely agree. Yes - part of the box set title only. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | According to what I am seeing NO possesives qualify. You have made this particular problem way too hard. I deal with data, I may not always be happy with the result but it is what it is for consistency, not sometimes this and sometimes that. And don't try and remind me of dan's idea because according to some users, even that isn't good enough.
I can, and so can any other user make whatever adjustments i might choose to make in my local, and if we maintain the sort title as It's a Wonderful Life and the film will appear where most of us think it should be in the I's.

Skip You are correct in saying that no possessory credits qualify. I disagree that this makes ascertaining the title too hard. In my view, it makes it a lot easier and provides certainty when it comes to the data to enter. It is worth considering a change to the database and application to add a field for possessory credits but I wouldn't think that it is a high priority. | | | Last edited: by Telecine |

I can live with that as a compromise on the basis that the film is AKA Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life.
I would also support a change to the software to incorporate possessory credits. Withdrawn but not forgotten... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
