Just a bit of advice from a seasoned veteran. If you are checking all the data in a title, it is IMPOSSIBLE to do a thousand titles in a month, especially at your current rate of refusal, based upon your own numbers. That would mean you are actually doing 1500-2000 Contributions to get 1000 approved. A complete top to bottom check of the data per the Rules takes 45 minutes to an hour, a little longer if it is from scratch, and longer still if if Cover Scans are included. I think on my best day I have been able to submit 10 titles that were properly audited.

On your best day, you have dozens of posts in this forum. I guess that you have no more time for working on profiles. | | | Images from movies |

But I wrote him to ignore me since every time I post, I have a sarcastic or negative remark from his part. He refused to do so, and even on other forums (you can look at plugin forum), Mr Skip makes "very useful" comments thinking he has some humour. Hopefully, I work mainly on translation files for french speaking users, and we don't see him around there. I also sent a layout that had been downloaded more than 4000 times, which shows that some people found it not so bad... | | | Images from movies | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |

Skip I was not so much unarmed that you needed somebody else to help you. Humour is not a typo. It's english, and I have not read that only american is requested... | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | Hey, I am using YOUR logic on typos, surfeur. This program is based in America, Copyrighted in America, and the servers are based in Texas, USA. So yeah humour is a typo from my viewpoint, you mean I can't correct what I think is a typo. I repeat before you get all latherd up, my friend, I am applying your logic, I am well aware of the Queen's English.

Ah, thanks for clearing that out, didnt know. |

Skip When I spoke of typos, I was aiming at french zone 2 profiles, and I never saw any problem between french french and american french ... In my logic, humor is correct in an american zone 1 profile, it's a typo on an english zone 2 profile. No need of strict rules for that. | | | Images from movies | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |

What I certainly could offer is replying with a 'Follow The Rules'-statement three times a day - this way it would last about two and a half years until I got a first-rate reputation (and I could contribute again, put the case I wanted to). | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. He attacked me personally in the contribution notes because I had pointed other users to the mistakes in the first upload. His tag line is in fact a quote from my comment to this said second contribution, where I told him to stop behaving like a silly baby.
No idea what he's trying to achieve now, and frankly, I'm not interested. He should be aware that the community will keep an eye on his contributions, though. I guess he'll be bored with his games very soon and search for another hobby to get attention. What I learned from TigiHof before was, that 'we' apparently misuse 'our' contribution votes to agitate against other user's contributions. And just for the record, already the first upload has been correct, which is approved by the fact that the re-contribution received a 40:0-voting. Even now you do not seem to be able to understand, that there can be no storyboard-comparisons, if you do not have storyboard-sequences first to compare them with. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. I've noticed a contribution of his, approved today. [5014503188320.4]
His conribution note only says this:
Quote: Case Type: The Slip Cover Situation. All information from DVD.
Did he get the "slip cover situation" from DVD? I'm not sure if I get you right: of course I did. You might not know, but in Germany we use DVD not only for the disc itsself, but for the whole product of disc/s, case, cover, inlay/booklet too. 'Wir kaufen, oder bestellen, eine DVD' - we buy, or order, a DVD, and receice not only the disc. So the (obligatory) source was accurate to the best of my knowledge. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

Quote: Did he get the "slip cover situation" from DVD? He also got "Booklet" information from his DVD for some contributions You should know better. So you sit there with the DVD and its booklet in your hand, what would you mention as (obligatory) source? Is the 'booklet' the source for the 'booklet'? Sounds somehow self-referential to me... Regarding the common german usage 'from DVD' it seemed to be an accurate, and true, contribution note for me. Quote: I suppose he has a beta next-generation DVD player with currently unknown new features Speaking about it: My DVD player seems in deed to be of great interest, it reminds me of a recent dull Funny-No-Vote, SpaceFreakMicha again: "what player did you use to check?". The contribution of adding storyboard-comparisons to the features has had 51 yes-votes, but you guess it, was declined. In former times I would have become annoyed about such votings and decisions, I admit, because they are so far away form our collective goal. Since I stopped contributing I do no care anymore. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |
