Sorry, but what you wrote is not good French (As my English is not good English). You seem able to speak in a manner that French people can understand easily, but your sentences would never be used by French people. You can learn a language, but without knowing the culture you can never truly speak it. |

Yves be warned he will tell you that your french isn't a proper one Even if like me you live in a francophone community since the day you were born He is just a tool unworthy of anyone time. We have many Anglo-Montrealers like that here, nothing more than useless parasite (I don't talk about all the english speakers living here, but the ones like boob9000 is). Quoting VirtualScot: Quote:
Dismissing someone's opinion on the bases of there grammar it is not only cheap, but highly trivial . You refuse to argue the point in question cause you can't argue for a $hit. It's the reason why I can't stay angry after you too long when we completly disagree. Sometimes your able to be a good guy for you FWIW since the moderator isn't really there anymore... |

Just listen to yourself. I mean for example i said i don't agree with the war Iraq, but by your logic i can't comment cause i never joined the army and fought in the war. Heinlein would say so, but no, that is not quite what I meant. Also military service is not at all akin to contributing to or voting on a few profiles. But opine away to your heart's content. To continue your, in my opinion, inappropriate analogy while you may disagree witht he war in Iraq do you really think for one second that your disapproval, no matter how loudly voiced, means one little jot to geniuses who decided to invade? Your opinion, and mine and a thousand, thousand more are meaningless to them. Contributing profiles be it hundreds, thousands or even a mere dozen every year is helpful to the community as a whole. Even spending a few minutes now and then voting on other members' pending profiles contributes to the well-being of the databse. It also lends your opinions weight when commenting on this generally great, if flawed program and system. Petulantly refusing to contribute at even the barest level merely saps the credibility. In my view if you want to effect change, then involve yourself in improving the database at a practical level instead of merely complaining about it while benefiting from others' work. | | | Last edited: by bob9000 |

Ahhh now you make more sense, as well as less hostile and condescending I happen to agree with you mostly as well. That where we can affectively do something for something that has meaning and value to us. We should at least in some way endeavour even in a small, to contribute. |

You thought I was attacking you when such was not my intent so I kept my responses more moderate and reasonable. The first thing Jimmy did was call me an idiot, so he got what he got. | | | Last edited: by bob9000 |

While im not inclined to take sides in this rather heated and personal debate. As someone with aspergers i can understand though being called an idiot can cause a lot of anger and hostility. |

What I did is telling that you acted like an idiot in my first reply not that you were one. Later I said you were one and rightly so... Attacking someone for his second language ability or his number of contribitutions or whatever other non-sense is acting as an idiot. Next time before insulting just ask for a clarification whatever it is by PM or in the forum and I will be glad to explain myself better. You won't get anything from me by acting like a patronizing jerk (against I don't wrote you are one, I said you acted like one)... Anyway I've said anything I've to say on this, so don't bring it back for the next ten years and stop using my name as the subject of this thread isn't me or you but the lack of technical support. For me the subject is over and this just annoying for me, you and I'm sure many other here. |

| Posted: | | | | Please stop with the childish behavior.
Who am I talking too? Read over your posts - would you talk to your friends, parents, significant other, children or other family this way?
If not, then I mean you.
There are ways to debate, discuss and even call out someone without resorting to the remarks some of you have posted in this thread.
These posts are not only unkind, they specifilly are adressed by Ken on what is NOT allowed in these forums: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=351359
"...- Keep all posts polite and to the point. Off-topic posts will be removed, and rude/incendiary posts will be removed and may result in additional moderator actions...."
So, please stop being rude to one another.
Thank you. | | | Last edited: by Kathy |
