It seems in Germany we have a norm for just about anything.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

28 April 1944: Commissioned at Boston, Lt. F. E. Lawton, USNR, in command
12 August 1946: Assigned to NRT, 12th Naval District at San Francisco, Cal.
7 February 1949: Decommissioned
11 December 1949: Recommissioned at Mare Island Naval Shipyard, Vallejo, Cal.
5 May 1950: Placed "In Commission, In Reserve" and assigned to NRT, 9th Naval District at Chicago, Ill (Flagship of the 6 patrol vessel "Corn Belt Fleet")
1 May 1965: Decommissioned
:1 May 1965 Stricken from the NVR
1 March 1966: Sold for scrapping to the North American Smelting Corp., Wilmington, Del.

Motor Yacht: Built in 1911 by the Narragansett Bay Yacht Yard, Riverside, RI; Acquired by the Navy 19 May 1917 and commissioned the same day; Decommissioned in 1919; Struck from the Navy list 17 May 1919; Sold 28 August 1919 to Mr. Arthur Palmer, Quincy, MA. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 10 t.; Length 56'; Beam 9' 6"; Draft 3' 6"; Speed 11.3 mph; Complement seven; Armament one 1-pounder and one machine guns.

PC-461 Class Submarine Chaser: Laid down, 14 April 1942 by the Leathem D. Smith Shipbuilding Co., Sturgeon Bay, WI; Launched, 4 July 1942; Commissioned 5 October 1942. Broke in half and sank during Typhoon Louise 9 October 1945 at Buckners Bay, Okinawa; Hulk destroyed 23 February 1946; Struck from the Navy Register in July 1948.

Specifications: Displacement 450 t.(fl); Length 173' 8"; Beam 23'; Draft 10' 10"; Speed; 20.2 kts.; Complement 65; Armament one 3"/50 dual purpose gun mount, one single 40mm gun mount; three 20mm guns, two rocket launchers, four depth charge projectiles, two depth charge tracks; Propulsion two 2,880bhp General Motors 16-258S diesel engines (Serial No. 7207 and 7208), Farrel-Birmingham single reduction gear, two shafts.
