I was able to install the app on my Galaxy SII and get the database export.  I had to do it manually as I need to find the post about changing the drive letters and I also had to find the thread about downloading the images.
I think I saw something about that.

But so far so good !!!!

Hello all,

The alpha test is done, and I'm launching the application in public beta now. I call it still beta, because there may be problems with the plugin install and incompatibilites on the android devices.

Please note that I'm doing this in my free time, so I'll react as soon as I can.

Also, please don't use cracked version of Invelos' DVD Profiler. Buy it and register it. We all need Invelos to stay alive and running the database.

Instructions :
  • For the first use, install android application on your device and run it once. It will create directories that the plugin will try to locate to know where to copy files. It should show you an empty collection.

  • Install the export plugin on the PC, and run it.

  • Some android devices do not allow you to connect it via active sync nor USB storage. In this case, you'll have to manually copy files from PC to device (don't buy devices using poprietary connections )

  • Always use the last plugin with the last android application, and export your collection after having both installed : the application may need the new database structure generated by the last export plugin version

  • Dowload : (sorry, no more version in file names to make update easyer)
    Export Plugin :
    File Factory
    DropBox
    Adroid Application :
    FileFactory
    DropBox

    Change Log :

  • New version Sept. 3rd 2012

  • 1.changed time limit to 2013/09/01
    2.Some layout changes

  • Beta 0.7  may 30th 2012

  • 1.Fixed : layout size in landscape (on some devices)
2.Filter on genres. Should work as in the PC version.

  • Older version ....

Did you try a database repair?

I did. The profiles show up fine on my computer but they are missing from the database on my phone.  It's weird. I checked the profiles for any anomalies that might keep them from showing up but I'm drawing a blank. In total I have about 10 profiles (out of 1250) that are missing and most of them are boxset profiles. The main boxset profile might be missing but the individual discs are showing up. I'll keep trying to solve for this myself but was curious if anyone else was running into this.

I may be posting in the wrong Forum and if so please move to the correct forum.

I just received from "Wal-Mart" an "ematic GENESISTab EGL26BL" and over all with only an hour of use I am very impressed for a 800 x 480 resistive touch screen device, which will be their "Black Friday" Door Buster both in store and online.

I must say I am a bit worried about the power supply as it is very hot to the touch and I am afraid of leaving it plugged in for the six hour time it would take to fully charge, since the power adapter is only 5volts I wonder if there is a USB power cable that will fit this device?

Also missing from the package were the "Headphones & Protective Sleeve" that was listed on the OEM's web site, but these were not listed as part of the package at the Wal-Mart site? They are sold for an extra $6 through Wal-Mart.

It is lighter than my Dell Strek-7 and has a nice (but plastic) back that is 'dimpled' for easier grip.

It does have Flash 11.1 (if I remember the version correctly) installed!

The first time I tried to use the web browser it took me to the "Amazon Store" and download link where it downloaded their store. (there seems to be a bit of screen sizing issue for the Amazone stores app's and command box?)

It played the first episode of "BLOOD AND CHROME" from 'YouTube' with out a single hiccup.

More as I learn more, as it is sleep time for me now and the device to fully charge before I try any more installs,... the main reason I purchased is to install the end user created plug-in for DVDProfiler for Android to store my DISC movie collection on... as currently if I print out a book, due to the size of my collection it costs me in Ink-Jet ink alone over $70.00...

      :David :Update 11/15/12 :

So far for a $59 device I am really impressed... all but one .apk that I have loaded runs with out issue... the one giving me an issue is.. I have yet to find a version of 'Google Play Store' that will side load and run... Store starts loading then when I get to what seems to be the users agreement I get a "Stopped Running Error"!?

The '''Headphones & Protective Sleeve''' are being sold as a separate item by WalMart for $6.00.

Since it uses a separate charging port you can charge and use.. unlike my Dell Streak-7 which will not charge and use if plugged into a power source.

The battery under heavy use tonight lasted 4.5 hours... before the device would not allow me to use it.

The free movie service "CRACKLE" works.

I am using a rubber tipped 'tablet styles' on the tablet.

The Android App. from this form does work (but with the known bugs waiting for a fix).

        Netflix will not work

Can anybody that reads this confirm the Barrel Power Connector Size (Type: H, OD: 3.40mm, ID: 1.30mm) if I could find the correct size then we could order a USB "Power" cable allow you to use your PC or other USB power supplies to recharge the device.

    Bonjour,

    Voila
    A+

David - Did you put a multi meter on that plug ? I would, many tablets need more than 5v to actually charge.

After that you can goto radio shack and use the "ring of plugs" to get a proper terminal size and a better power supply from their selection.

Robert: Thanks for the hint.. but guess what ..while no where in the manual another user found that the device will also charge through its USB port!!  If I had known that I would not of been beating my head against the wall!!  Part of me is thinking real hard about hitting my local KMart / Sears in a few hours for their $40 tablet.. because it reads/looks like it is the twin to this tablet.

Now if only the program could be updated to allow the data/image folders to be on the "external SD" card.. and fix the image overlap and/or allow the end user to set the image size of the file vew for a larger image this would be a great companion program for the desktop DVDP!!

    :David

[Yes I know that a larger image would slow down the scroll which is something I am willing to put up with!]

You shoudl be able to tell it where to stuff the info, i know on my Asus Tablet that it is on the external 16gb sdcard.

There are thing Oiliver is working on, right now he is working on getting media devices to sync without having to jump through a lot of hoops.

After that I am sure he will work on teh image sizing and I am hoping collection list :D

    Pauls24:

It all depends on the device "drive naming"... I currently have two 7" Android based tables and neither names the external "SD" the same:
The Android 3.0 Dell is named: Memory, SD, EXTSD
The Android 4.0 is named: System, SD1, SD2 <Which is really the external SD>

Since there is no file manager there is no way to tell the app that the data base is on the removable SD card.
