It's perfectly fine to disagree with a certain rule - I personally disagree with a *lot* of them - but it's decidedly not fine to use the voting system to voice that disapproval. So I'll point that out whenever I see it, and I would hope that Invelos deals with that in an appropriate manner.
Quoting the contribution rules:
Quote: If a user is following the Contribution Rules and his/her data is accurate, and the contribution replaces data which is inaccurate or violates these Contribution Rules, a "No" vote is considered an abuse of the voting privilege and should be avoided when possible.
That's fine. My no votes are not personal at anyone, but I can't bring myself to vote yes, or even neutral on something which is inherently wrong. I wouldn't worry to much about voting privileges, people still copy IMDB credits and contribute. Rules seem to be only for other people. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm not sure of your point. It's pretty well established that in English titles, you capitalize all words except for articles, conjunctions and short prepositions, but there's disagreement on whether short prepositions are three letters or less or four letters or less. Invelos could either have us try to figure it out from the cover, which frequently has odd or inconsistent capitalization, or set a uniform rule. A uniform rule means it will sometimes disagree with the cover, but takes ambiguity out of it, which means no edit wars where people change it back and forth. |

There are 5 (edit 6) that I own that are being changed to With right now. And it is the only change to the profiles. I put them in the same importance as a genre change or just a ticked color contribution. Lame non-significant total padding contributions. | | | Last edited: by ateo357 |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, the tool's use of "With" is ridiculous, as ridiculous as child profiles for individual discs in a single TV series season. But what can you do, they made a rule and here we are. |

They're not just pending, but are all approved and released - despite invalid no-votes by samuelrichardscott, ateo357 and bbbbb. So: question asked, question answered (not just by multiple users, but also by Invelos itself), profiles fixed... End of story. Although we could do this again tomorrow, obviously. 'Dances With Wolves', anyone...? |
