| Posted: | | | | Let's refocus on the original question!
DVD Profiler has functions that depend on prerelease contributions, so such contributuions are obviously not only allowed, but even encouraged. This means that the rule "The authoritative source for information submitted should be the DVD itself" cannot apply to such contributions.
So, what exactly do the rules say about info for prerelease contributions? Well, as far as I can see - nothing. My take on it would then be that any relevant prerelease information about the release is fair game. That would suggest to me that any cast and crew information that is published about the release can be used in the prerelease contribution. This, and any other information, should then be reviewed and corrected when the DVD/BD is actually released.
Therefore I would have no problem voting yes to at least director and principal actors (w/o role names) in a prerelease contribution. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Yep, agreed too. I have no problems at all with prerelease profiles. They are after all only contributed when it has been established that there will actually be a release on dvd/bluray. |

We can't vote at new contributions. Well, there can be updates to prerelease contributions, but yeah, I guess I should have said that I have no objections. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for all your input. The screeners seem to agree with this as well as the contributions were approved/released yesterday. | | | Bye, Elwood |
