The way to pay back a programmer is to say his program sucks, doesn't work, or isn't needed. Been waiting for you to bring up the mention of CastCrewCheck for months. Umm, what? Doing it over a petty grudge is worse than no reason. If I owned this forum, I'd ban you right now to save myself future trouble. | Posted: | | | | I tried to recall what I could possibly have done to piss off ateo357, but I was lost. I am usually a fairly mellow fellow, so I had to go back through my posts to find out what had upset him to this degree. And I found this. Apparently the sentence that all the hoopla was about, was this comment from me: Quote: However, when someone makes a genuine effort to help the community, it's disappointing that the only comment you can make is to point out a misspelling. I'm baffled that anyone could take such umbrage to that comment, that he'd start all this. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

Gunnar, your constant help to this community is priceless. I have been using your tools for quite some time now and I find them enormously helpful and time saving. I hope this "mighty payback for ancient wrongdoings" won't make you less motivated to share your expertise in programming with us not-so-experts. | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. | Posted: | | | | So we're three pages in to a thread about incorrect profiles, and we've got...nowhere.
No one likes inaccurate profiles. Many of us do our best to fix them. How this has dragged on for three pages is beyond me. |

| Posted: | | | | Why do people find it acceptable to treat others with disrespect?
Does anyone really believe that calling someone names is the best way to treat them?
How does insulting someone get them to see your point of view?
The disrespect, name-calling and insults contained in this thread is unacceptable. Please stop. | | | Last edited: by Kathy |

The disrespect, name-calling and insults contained in this thread is unacceptable. Please stop. To be fair, only two individual posters within that had to be edited. But IMO it's because they are "right" and the other person is "wrong" so they think it is acceptable. Much like trying to discuss politics, it results in name calling and mudslinging. Most of it comes from different viewpoints and assuming the other person is not only wrong but are assuming the worst anyone that doesn't agree with them. Some others are like a dog with a bone, they bring up their pet peeves every and any chance they get. Getting back to the OT, I often use Cast & Crew from other profiles but I always state the UPC/EAN And locality. I also don't do it blindly, I also check it for differences, BYs, common names, etc to see if it's valid. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |
