For me, personally, it doesn't matter. A Digital Copy is a Digital Copy and it isn't the only way. It is just as easy to add 'DC Disc' or 'DC Code' to the Other Features line. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

Do not re-list extras here that are already indicated with the check-boxes. If you're unsure whether a particular Extra should be listed here, it probably shouldn't be. So I believe it would be against the rules to also list it in other features. | | | Pete |

But surely even "Digital Copy [] SL" *does* add a benefit; it shows that the digital copy is on a disc (and thus permanently owned) and NOT a downloadable digital copy (which will be time limited and useless if you are buying the title sometime after release).
Actually even the copies on disc need to be activated with DRM and are no longer valid after a specific amount of time. So the disc becomes useless after that time.
Didn't realise that; I agree it certainly makes my point *less* valid! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |

| Posted: | | | | We don't distinguish between an Itunes DC, or a UV DC, or even a downloadable DC from the producer. These are all different in there own way
I personally do not see the advantage of knowing that it is Disc based over the others (since I haven't seen a new Disc based copy for a while) |

In terms of differentiating the type of digital copy, I'd find it very useful to know the type of digital copy that comes with a release as it would determine what service you can play the digital copy on (i.e. UV, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, stand alone/PC) |

It would be nice to know if it was UV or ITunes etc, but my point is, we don't differentiate now, so why isolate Disc Based from the rest? |
