The difference with "The Fifth Element" is that "Jeanne d'Arc" was not filmed in English. French actors spoke French, American actors spoke English, and both were dubbed to make a French and an American version.

In that case, I would go with the language spoken by the main cast.

Anyway, this discussion is useless since rules are perfectly clear. People who do not like the way they are written can propose something new in the concerned forum, but please, do not take only the rules that please you and violate those you do not like.

Let me be perfectly clear here, I don't use the Original Title field nor do I use common names.  I don't contribute them, nor do I allow either into my local database, so I have no dog in this fight.

Whether it is Jeanne d'Arc or Joan of Arc, I honestly don't care.  My only goal here is to find the real original title for those that do.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer here. Some films will have multiple original titles because that's how they were produced and released. So yes, the CLT will be off but there is nothing we can do about it. It's a poor tool anyway and Invelos should move to a better system.
