| Posted: | | | | If that is wanted it isn't something I would fight either... but wouldn't some sort of linking be needed if the rule was changed? I am thinking same studio just with name change(s) over the years. | | | Pete |

This concept was introduced, in the rules, back in 2005/2006, so your argument is with Ken. If you, the general you not you specifically, can get Ken to change the rule to say, "Enter the studios as credited in the order credited," I won't fight you on it. Actually, my initial post wasn't directed towards you, but was meant as a general comment. I assume that the intent of the rule was to enable linking of studio names. But since that quite obviously hasn't worked, I see no good reason to keep the rule. As credited would be fine with me. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

This won't solve problems as studios are often credited multiple ways in the same film. --------------- |

But with only one order of appearance and three fields you'll run out of space pretty quickly so I don't think that would be a real problem. Studio linking could easily be implemented as a local function, but in my case a free text search would do just as well. Searching for Warner should for example bring up all WB titles. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Nexus the Sixth |

| Posted: | | | | So reading that... if he wants any studios to link he will do so with filters. hmm.
OK... still not sure I will bother much with studios... just really not my thing. | | | Pete |
