FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

He is looking for the real common name. It may be Delarios instead of DeLarios. So if the Credits are DELARIOS, it would be Delarios in the list. |

Like I've said earlier in this thread, I honestly don't care how the CLT works, because in this case it's counter-productive, IMO. I am simply interested in proving the CLT wrong and that it has a flaw, as well as finding out how Delarios is most often credited. It says also in the rules that the CLT isn't everything, when it comes to common names. Even if in this case it wouldn't separate e.g. Delarios from DeLarios if either one was the common name. I just want the CLT to develop and I see two flaws right now; the non-differing between upper and lower case letters and that it doesn't sort out BY's graphically. It is also evident through this research that movie credits do often consider upper and lower case letters. So the attitude (from Ken) that the CLT doesn't have to care about this, is improper. |

I think more than just me would agree on this, because it's not OK that the tool ignores upper/lower case letters. The three things you suggest that I am saying is putting the words into my mouth; that the CLT is out of context, that it's wrong and improper. I was saying the attitude is improper, that the CLT just can't change. The CLT has ceased to properly function, when people start to complain about upper and lower case letters. Not only one person, but many. It needs the update, to being able to differ between upper/lower case letters. Also it's inconsistent that when I make a change in the DB, adjusting upper/lower case letters, the software asks if I want to submit the contribution online. So it's simply not true that neither the online database nor the software ignores upper/lower case letters. It's of importance. I think I've said enough now about this topic. Those who post here will please submit data to help determine the common name, rather than "hijacking" this thread with endless debates, that IMO are non-productive and don't intend to lead to a change.
