| Posted: | | | | Well the only reason I added the profiles for my box sets was to get accurate cast and crew searches with Database Query but every once in while I like to go thru all of my Blu-rays using a report from DVD Profiiler so this new thing is mostly just a waste of printer ink. Normally I count everything as one and as it turns out I had a backup.dpb of my old way of doing things! So I am back to where I was @ 572 Blu-rays instead of 599. Although now I kinda wish I'd have backed up the newer one, oh well, no biggie. Though if I do decide to make any major changes to my collection in the future I will start keeping multiple backup.dpb's. | | | Blu-ray collection order; Music>Musicals>Documentaries>TV shows>Criterions>Movies |

| Posted: | | | | Well, it turns out that I uploaded my 599 collection online so I am trying out the 'Download' option in the 'Collection Transfer' feature for the very first time so I can make a backup of the 599 collection. Its taking quite awhile, I wonder if it is gonna get my collection back to exactly the way I had it when I had last uploaded it? | | | Blu-ray collection order; Music>Musicals>Documentaries>TV shows>Criterions>Movies | | | Last edited: by jamestech |

| Posted: | | | | You should have chosen "Yes"
This is a blank entry that for some reason sometimes integrates itself into the database. Perform a database repair (Tools->Options->Utilities->Repair Database...) and see if this error still occurs. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Ok, I did the repair and it did like a million things, several "Repair of table etc etc" then like a a ton of "Removing unused crew/cast/studio members" , it wasn't a million but I held the scroll down button for like 2 minutes straight to scroll thru the entire list! lol! What does this repair do exactly? thanks | | | Blu-ray collection order; Music>Musicals>Documentaries>TV shows>Criterions>Movies |

Even though somewhat hidden it's recommended to use this tool on a regular basis, at least right before a backup. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! Is there any way to filter out all of the box sets in my collection? What I mean by box sets are boxes that contain 2 movies or more movies. for example for examplethanks | | | Blu-ray collection order; Music>Musicals>Documentaries>TV shows>Criterions>Movies |

| Posted: | | | | The only way that comes to mind at least... make a tag called something like Box Set and then you can filter them out. Only downside is you have to go through your collection to tag each of them. Once get that done you have to remember to tag any future parent profiles. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | If you use the "count as"*, you could sort it in the collection list by this. Not a direct filter, but you would have sorted them together. Another possibility which would work: Don't add a collection number to the parent profiles, the you could filter in the personal section. And as Pete said you could use a Tag. *Interesting, it is possible to use negative numbers as count as. |

| Posted: | | | | Seems like a good feature request. If you use plugins, maybe DB Query will do it? If you sort the BoxSet Count field in BulkEdit, that's another way. Say the word, and I could add a BulkEdit "Collection/Flags/Flag Box Sets" menu very easily, but I don't know if that would be suitable for you. | | | Thanks for your support. Where do I find the first filter? All I see is 'Box Set Contents'. Would you mind giving me more detailed instructions for doing this ? thanks! | | | Blu-ray collection order; Music>Musicals>Documentaries>TV shows>Criterions>Movies |

DB Query doesn't do it, all of my DVDs are in boxes so it finds them all. So exactly how do I sort the BoxSet Count field in BulkEdit? Really, the main reason I was looking for this because I wanted to find all of my box sets without having to go thru my collection and labeling them is just more work so I think I will pass on this, thanks though. Another quick question....does anyone know of a 'report' that just gives the movie title then a short description of it and nothing else? I looked thru ~10 pages or so of reports and could not find one like this. Thanks for your time guys! | | | Blu-ray collection order; Music>Musicals>Documentaries>TV shows>Criterions>Movies | | | Last edited: by jamestech |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting jamestech: Quote: So exactly how do I sort the BoxSet Count field in BulkEdit? You would ned to load all your profiles into BE, check the BoxSet Count column, and then once loaded, just click the column title to sort. This is more trounle than it would be worth to do on an ongoing basis. I mentioned it just in case you had a one time task. I'm going out of town this weekend, but if I can whip up the Collection/Flags menu beforehand, I'll do it. That shoudl make it a snap to do anytime. Just vew the collection in flagged first mode. You could then even save a flag set for instant refiltering whenever you need it. Edit: well I just did it. It was an easy change. Only thing is, in my collection, there are a lot of Box Sets with only one profile, and even a few with no chlld profiles, even though Box Contents Count is not zero. I don't know what this means yet. Maybe my database is corrupt. Anyway, do you want Box Sets with only 1 profile? | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
