Not at all, please feel free and thanks for doing so.

If updating worked better for me I'd keep up with it, but after every edit or 2 I have to restart it and re-enter all the bold and itallics, and it gets annoying.

I had the same problem, so now I do everything in Notepad and save it before submitting on here.

Glad you didn't mind me doing this.

I PMed the contributor... but they are not on yet today. And I see a LOT of yes votes I thought I would ask... what am I missing??

The contributor put this thread in their notes for Buck Flower common name. But I still see over 30 names not verified yet (the highest so far is 27 so could possibly be any name yet). So how is a common name reached already?

From what I can tell these still need to be verified...

1.Across the great Divide
2. Action Warrior
3. Bail Out (W.B., Blue and the Bean)
4. Bigfoot Terror
5. Bring Him Home
6. Brooklyn South: The Complete Series: Vol. 4
7. Champions
8. Circuitry Man I & II (in Circuitry Man II)
9. Codemane Zebra
10. Dark Breed
11. Dead Men Don't Die
12. Death Falls
13. Fast Money
14. Feuersyndrom
15. I Will Dance on Your Grave: Lethal Victims
16. Inside Out 1 & 2
17. Mirror Images
18. Mom, Can I Keep Her?
19. Moonbase
20. Munchie
21. Nevada Heat
22. One Man Force
23. Power Rangers Time Force: Teil 9
24. Puppet Master: The Legacy
25. Radical Jack
26. Silicon Towers
27. Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama
28. Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat
29. They are Among Us
30. The Ungodly
31. Wilderness Family, Part 2
32. Wooly Boys

Those are at least on the list and not marked as anything (verified or wrong). So how is the thread being used to document a common name already?

I wanted to see if I was missing something before I voted.

I think it's like how they call elections before all the votes are in, by going with what looks to be the eventual winner based on what we've seen so far.

You are right, every other credit could be George "Buck" and the CN would be too, but it's looking like Buck will get there. I'm partial cuz I already have Buck as common locally, so every submission is a title I can unlock the cast for.

So in other words no there is no documentation that it is Buck Flower yet. As such I feel I have to vote no.

With so many still out that there is no way to know (there is more to be confirmed then is confirmed for Buck Flower!) I can't see already using this thread as documentation until they are confirmed.

You certainly don't have to vote no. You may choose to do so, but you don't have to. I would certainly vote "yes", because it's correct. Of course, I could choose to keep propagating an obviously incorrect, IMDb-mined common name for years to come, but I'm just not going to do that.

And what happens if they're not?

The thread looked like it had died, so I took the initiative - largely correcting contributions I had made changing profiles to match CLT results.

Yes... I feel like I must. It is the way we are told to do things by Invelos... so that is the only way I will vote or contribute.

If they are not... then the CLT is not DOCUMENTED as being wrong (Ken's own words)... and so we must use the CLT until it is Documented... at least until Ken changes the system or changes his statement.

While I see your point Pete I have to disagree.

We already KNOW that the CLT is wrong because the current results say that George 'Buck' Flower is the common name. Well, we know that's wrong don't we? We know that they are all IMDB mined (apart from the ONE confirmed entry)

Therefore, any result this thread gives is better than the currently incorrect CLT results.

Also (and not so much related to this thread in particular) but when do we say ENOUGH! That's the name we're going to use from now on?
Just look at the Frank Montano thread that has recently been revived. I remember when lots of contributions were coming through pointing to that thread and its results of 'Frank Montano' as the current name. I followed suit and edited all my profiles (currently at: 50)...now more results have come through and it's a draw. If the other name wins out there's no way I'm going through all my profiles again to change them. At some point you've just got to say 'enough'. A decision was made and acted on and, in my opinion, that decision should stand from now on. I can't abide all this wishy-washy to-and-froing!
It would be entirely different if everyone jumped on the bandwagon and checked their profiles; but such a small percentage of us do it that these threads can drag on for months; during which time, those of us that are doing updates are left in limbo.

As long as there is 32 unconfirmed titles... and we know it has happened at least once.... plus there is enough unknown to make it possible... No... I am not comfortable say I KNOW it is wrong.

I don't see myself as KNOWING anything until it is verified.

With so many withstanding... how do you KNOW that in this case IMDB didn't even just stumble onto a correct (per our rules) common name?  You don't know for a fact what the other 32 credits are... so you can't know for a fact whether it is any of the other variations... including the name imdb uses.

Do I see it as likely... no! Problem less of a chance of it snowing in hell... but hey... I can't say I know without those titles being verified.

Uhhh..., I guess when Ken tells us we are allowed to. I know that is the only time I will say such a thing. Which I personally doubt will happen since Ken has said he is working on the cast and crew section... and said he hopes it will get rid of the need for the CLT at all. But until such time... we must do it as Ken has stated it to be done.
