Correct. In this particular case: IF the information on the R1 US profile is correct, then there is no way these disc IDs could match a UK release with different audio, subtitles, disc contents etc.
I would suggest to contact Ken (e.g. by opening a support ticket) to get the US Disc IDs removed from the UK profile. What also may work is what people do to remove profiles that are in the wrong (often UK) locality: replace the Title with "Please remove this profile" and explain in the contribution notes. Except he doesn't want to remove the profile - merely the wrong Disc IDs. |

FWIW the first release of Sex and the City: Season 1 was R2 NTSC BUT, in this case (and I agree the massive majority of cases) this does not happen and Grey Hulk is quite correct that they should be removed as they are wrong - DiscIDs are now unique so the NTSCs will not be the same as the PALs whether they are actually R0 encoded or not. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

I've done some digging on that one, as best I can The following is odd: There is no mention of a UK-based distribution company on the back of the cover, based on scan in DVD-P. This is not uncommon though, but most releases reference a UK companyThe EAN code starts with "0-". I do have some "0-" codes, but most seem to be "5-", "7-" or "8-". The HK releases I have are "4-", and the one or to Australian releases are "9-". I wonder if there is some significance to the first digit, but don't knowDVD-P has the release date as 07/05/2001 (DD/MM/YYYY), while the BBFC only has extra DVD content for Season One classified on 20/09/2001It really does make me wonder if that was actually made for the UK market, or just ended up imported. Having the (15) BBFC logo on it matches what the BBFC rated all the episodes as, but the lack of rating for the extra content at that stage does make me suspicous If you meant another version, then all the above is probably drivel | | | You can download higher resolution versions of any of my cover scans from here |

| Posted: | | | | An Evening with Kevin Smith is NTSC also (UK release). So are a whole bunch of catalogue Columbia TriStar releases (they even have little circle NTSC stickers on the covers). Uncommon, yes, but plenty out there. | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |

Boo hoo I can understand videophiles going for an NTSC release, so they don't suffer the PAL 4% speed-up (combined with possible inverse telecine artifacts, depending on the source material). | | | You can download higher resolution versions of any of my cover scans from here |

Oddly 'An Evening with Kevin Smith' is Region 1 AND 2 (also 3, & 4). They obviously couldn't be bothered to convert it at all. |

| Posted: | | | | Just like Warner then. So many of there US releases are region 1/2/3/4 (but not 5/6). They do tend to be titles not released elsewhere though so logical thinking by the studio perhaps... |
