Woo-hoo, go Robert!
My local's right, I don't need to change them all.

I have 13 profiles with Robert, 4 are doubles thanks to the Evil Dead series. A couple weeks ago I made a calculated guess and changed them all to Robert (with credited as were warrented of course). Love when these end up working out.

Of course I'm probably screwed in the head for watching these Common Name threads as if they were sports events, rooting for what's already in my local database. Makes it more fun though. I'm off to my gambler's annoymus meeting.

New credits rolling in for new television shows (and the upcoming Evil Dead remake) and the common name once again appears unclear (credited as recently as The Possession released last year as Robert Tapert and as recently as the Spartacus Seasons as Rob Tapert). Anyone able to confirm the Legend of the Seeker Seasons? I might be able to in the next day or two if no one else can before then.

Generally that seems to be the consensus yes, as it's the only way to break a tie.

However here, we still have one unconfirmed credit that would break the tie. As well, the remake of The Evil Dead comes out in the next couple of months, which could clear things up one way or the other as well.

I would've said a few weeks ago that Rob Tapert was definitely the way the common name was shifting as it was mainly the way he was credited in his newer works, and then of course The Possession drops and he's credited as Robert Tapert there...

If someone could confirm the Legend of the Seeker Season 2 credit, we'd be good (and we could cross our fingers that The Evil Dead remake has him credited the same way). If no one has it that's willing to confirm it, I know it's available for streaming on hulu. Unfortunately, hulu is a bunch of pricks and I can't stream a lot of the stuff because I'm outside of the U.S. If someone within the U.S. wants to check it out there to confirm....

And while I'm whining... it'd be really nice to get a ruling from Invelos on what year of release we should use when it comes to films that had premieres at film festival or whatnot. Currently The Evil Dead counts as AT LEAST four different titles in the CLT thanks to confusion over release dates... I'd even be willing to go through and correct 'em all if we could simply get a ruling... but I suppose after asking for 2+ years, it'd be too much trouble to just get a single word one way or the other to confirm it...

Actually just quickly went and browsed the CLT results. There's another unconfirmed title to add to the list that could help break a tie. I've added 30 Days of Night: Dark Days to the unconfirmed list. Currently it's in the CLT as Robert G. Tapert... but I've got a REALLY hard time believing that whoever submitted it didn't just copy the crew information from IMDB.

I'll see if I can confirm that title in a little bit.

*Edit*

Was able to confirm that 30 Days of Night: Dark Days contains the credit of Rob Tapert (good thing we don't allow IMDB mined info anymore  ) so that puts Rob Tapert in the lead, but with Legend of the Seeker Season 2 still sticking around, Robert Tapert could very well tie it again.

Rob Tapert - 92/391 (22 Confirmed)

Thank-you sir.

New common name! Rob Tapert. With no titles left to confirm, Rob Tapert becomes the common name (and even if the upcoming Evil Dead remake turns out to be Robert Tapert, that variant still won't catch up).

Goddamnit...

Gotta submit corrections now....

Dude needs to just pick one and stop, I grow tired of changing this common name every year or so it feels like.   Guess he's better than Tiny Lister, but that ain't saying much.

Saw the Evil Dead remake tonight (pretty goddamn awesome horror flick) and made sure to pay attention to how Mr. Tapert was credited (this site has ruined me I tell ya...  ). He's credited as Rob Tapert, so it looks like the common name is hopefully safe for a while...

Updated with credits posted above, as well as new credits for the pending release of the new Evil Dead and the already out Spartacus: Vengeance: Season 2 (2nd season of the Spartacus show, a continuation of Spartacus: Blood and Sand, each season has a different "episode description"), which keeps Rob Tapert ahead (even if we temporarily remove the new Evil Dead remake, Rob Tapert still is in the lead).

I went through his IMDB credits, and the only things listed that aren't here are Lunatics: A Love Story (which has no current release date scheduled), 13: Fear is Real, which was a reality show that I can't find any info about any upcoming release on (but he's credited as Rob Tapert there as I was able to find episodes to view online) and a show called Zombie Roadkill (possible shorts produced online?) which also has no upcoming release date scheduled.

There's a couple of Hercules made for TV movies. Circle of Fire, Underworld and Maze of the Minotaur, which appear to be tv movies that preceeded the show itself (much the same as The Amazon Women and The Lost Kingdom). I can't find any info about any of them being released to home video at any point. If anyone can shed some light on them or if they've been released, that'd be cool.

I'm also able to confirm, that in the currently airing Spartacus: War of the Damned: Season 3 (the current airing, and last, season of Spartacus) he's credited as Rob Tapert from the episodes I've seen and been able to find online, and that will have a release upcoming soon, so one more to add to Rob Tapert when needed.

So as it stands now, Rob Tapert is still the common name (and with the exception of The Possession, seems to be the way he's mostly credited in all his newer projects).
