That file has got to be huge and I simply don't want it taking up space on my system. Sure, it would be a large file, but nowhere near as large as all the images we save for covers. You can save the entire text of a book in just a few hundred K. I've seen the entire works of Shakespeare on a single 700M CD. I was one of those who supported the simple linking system over the so-called 'common name' method right from the jump. Got shouted down far too many times because of it. | | | John

Persona;;y speaking I see absolutely no need for such search capabilities relative to the Online and hope we never see them1. People simply do not provide adequate documentation for Cast/Crew data for search to have any significance or value.
Skip Maybe you misunderstand me. I'll try an example. If i edit a movie and i see John M. Doe. I type him and if i already have a movie in my DB with him he appears. It's also possible that i have a movie with John Doe, this may be the same person and if verified i can link him. If i don't have this i can't link him and if, later i buy a DVD with John Doe credited as John Doe, i don't have a linking entry. What i would like that instead of loooking at my DB while editing the entire invelos DB is search allowing better linking. PAul |
